PULLING IT OUT OF THEIR ASSES AGAIN. Have you heard one voter say it was "the cry"?
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 03:59 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
I've heard lots of them say it was the media pile on. Still haven't heard a single one except Chris Matthews and every other media puke say it was "the cry."

That's the media story of the NH turnaround right now: Clinton cried and idiot women fell for it.

A backlash against the media (the real story) is a great political development for Democrats. A sympathy vote is a much better story for the MSM because it makes Democrats look stupid.

Once again they pull their "official story" of their asses and it's all over the tee vee today.

On edit: Kick and recommend this post if you hate the MSM

3. It's deja vu all over again...
they're attempting to control what the voters deem "important". They're spinning non-issues into issues. Unfortunately, the gullible public will fall for it once again. It's sad and disgusting.

9. K&R.
It's much easier for the media to blame the voter than blame themselves.

10. You know what it is?
Its this absolute trashing that her campaign has suffered in the last few days. Its the media's insistence that the electorate follow their narrative. I wasn't committed to Clinton before all this crap started, but I am now.

11. Gosh, I hope you agreed with her policies beforehand
Otherwise, you are alarmingly shallow.

If the media made light of the fact that Kucinich is short and has big ears, do you think it would cause a surge of short, big-eared men to suddenly shift their votes to Dennis out of solidarity?

18. ah crap! I'm alarmingly shallow!
anyways...

Well I did confirm some things about Edwards in these last few days - when the going gets tough let the other guy steal your message and then run a "me too" campaign - 'cause nothing says presidential like angling to be vice president when the chips are down!

As for Obama... yeah darn it he wouldn't have voted to authorize the war - I guess I'll take his word for it. It just bothers me (a little) that the key to his campaign are independent voters - which is fine for a general election, but I'm not sure I want right-of-center independents picking my democratic nominee. I don't think its surprising that the NH independents split between McCain and Obama. Very little, as of late, has been mentioned about Obama's policy positions, but I think you would be hard pressed to place Obama to the left of Clinton.

Oh btw, I'm a semi-tall, white male with youthful looks and full hair and I think Edwards got worked by the media, but he can just suck it for all I care! Hey! You're right!

15. It comes from personal experience.
Every man is thinking about a time in their life when a woman got other women to rally around her by crying. I'm not sure if that's somewhat reasonable or unfairly sexist.

Clinton was leading by 10 points in the NH polls two weeks ago and she only won by 2 points. That's not a resounding victory. I think the real story is the unrealistic expectations built up by a few polls. Hillary won the expectations game. Otherwise its a minor victory.

21. Our CBC news fell for that line
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 06:10 PM by Canuckistanian
Apparently, the NH voters were impressed by this show of "real, heartfelt emotion".

And they even interviewed a delegate who said "it shows that she's not afraid to cry" BUT, thay never said whether that delegate was moved enough to actually VOTE for Clinton.

And same CBC reporter breathlessy gushed about McCain, "Of course, he's a maverick!"
