Reasons you should not bother to vote in any election
If you choose your candidate because

- He/she is a man/woman
- He/she has a certain skin color
- A television pundit said something offensive about a certain feature of your candidate that you can relate to
- You want to annoy your neighbor/mother/coworker
- You don't think the person that matches your true ideals can win for no reason other than the media telling you so
- Your candidate believes in the same mythical superstitions that you do
- Your candidate looks like someone you'd like to have a beer with
- Your candidate is from the same State/region as you
- Your candidate is funny
- Your candidate is good looking
- You can't really decide, so you've flipped a coin
- You don't think America is "ready" for someone else who you would rather vote for

Do Democracy a favor and stay home. You're not helping.

If, on the other hand, you choose your candidate because he/she is right on the majority of the issues that you hold dear, issues such as

- Foreign policy
- Health care
- Education
- The economy
- Gay rights

Then by all means, do Democracy a favor and vote.

2. My co-worker has it coming to him. Just think of how peeved he'll be when Count Chocula seizes the
republican nomination!

6. I've been branching out to other
forums and making that argument. With the mess the U.S. is in we can't make this about who we "like" or want to have a beer with. We need someone who can pull the country out of the toilet.
