1. I'm always reminded of that scene in Robin Hood ..
(the Kevin Costner/Alan Rickman version) where Nottingham says "Join us......or...DIE." LOL

3. Join her? Nah.
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 12:37 AM by Naturyl
I'll vote for her in November if she is the nominee, just to keep a Republican out.

But join her? I don't think I can. The crowd she hobnobs with wouldn't allow me on the premises.

23. I said for a long time that the "Hillary Can't Win" stuff
was a myth. I don't believe that any longer. I know very few people who intend to vote for her if she is the nominee. I don't consider these people to be progressives but they are Democrats who HATE the GOP. And if they won't vote for her...

8. Expect to hear a lot of that.
Hillary supporters tend to underestimate the level of bigotry and hatred against their candidate that exists in this country.

The right-wing has been setting Hillary up as Satan for well over a decade. After a while, it starts to sink into the culture.

39. Now that I've read that from you,
I have more faith that maybe she really is a good candidate and I've let my fear of H1Bs demolishing jobs and wages go well beyond the level of "empty paranoia". (She's been consistently right on some issues, especially foreign ones, but her way too open support of helping other countries has made many unsure of their own futures.)

I will... have faith. After all, for what I have read I know there's a lot I have not. (Too busy with trying to figure out things to help MY future...)

18. Disappointing, divisive and transparent. There are virtually no differences between our candidates.
Other than the fact we have a woman.

Please show me where Obama's senatorial record has been any better, or Edwards, what limited time he was in the Senate.

That may threaten you that a woman could, and should be president, God only knows why. However many of us here in America realize it is time for a change in that regard.

It's time to share the power and the presidency.

In fact, it's actually past time.

I think having over 200 years of wealthy white male presidencies, it seems the time for change is overdue.

We need balance, because the scales are so tipped and have been for too long.

In addition it is not as if Hillary Clinton is a liberal.

She is what a true Republican "should" be.

All our Democratic candidates are actually.

That should show us how far to the right this country and our political system has been pulled.

From ontheissues.org.

ANY of our top three can and will blow the Republicans out of the water this year. It's going to be delicious.

... with a woman heading up a nuclear power. For heaven's sake, we should have been first.

The list of women who have lead their countries in the 20th century is not long enough, but it's full of formidable leaders.

The list of women who will have led in the 21st century will hopefully be longer.

If its not about sex, then defend your stance other than making accusations which have no merit and no legitimate argument?

If you have a legitimate difference, then please provide it.

I utterly and sincerely hope she's sincere with the God-given talk, future, hope, and the rest of it. No audacity from me, I cannot understate that at all.

For if it is a game, her talk about America's future, let's just give Iran all the nukes they want and blow this sodding planet to radioactive cinders and be done with it. We know they want to.
