Did Hillary's campaign fill Last Big Rally with Busloads of Supporters from neighboring States?
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 05:59 PM by FrenchieCat
According to MSNBC, Hillary's rally last night was contrived by busing supporters from MA and other states into NH. They were saying that they checked license plates and found many to be from out of state.

That would support earlier reports that even Bill's been playing to smaller crowds, and why Hillary took 15 minutes at her last town hall to try and fill the venue herself....pulling up chairs, etc.

I felt it on her face, when she was introduced during that last rally (watched it on C-Span)....she was basking, but not really. It was reported that there were at least a couple of thousand people.

If this turns out to be a case proven, it will only prove how dishonestly calculating Hillary is....and I don't like it. Up to now, I have given Hillary as much credit as I could considering that I never truly disliked the woman. But I find this trick to be very GOPish, IMO.

1. Many of the states around NH have later primaries and are not as oft-visited by candidates...
so folks from Mass. and other nearby states will drive to NH to see them. I don't think this is a conspiracy to bus in Hillary supporters so much as a simple fact of campaign life.

3. It could also mean that people who liked Hillary drove out to see her...
nothing more.

4. Hm I know one thing she didn't do like Obama and Oprah paying
to bus students TO VOTE....TO VOTE TO VOTE....Having a rally with other states, what's that. Obama brought in students to register the same day and vote. I don't see any damn think in the papers about that. But then they dont' want Hillary to win, they want to put Obama up there to get their republican candidate to win, and he will, if Obama is the candidate.

7. I have friends who were bussed in by Obama's campaign to Iowa
So what? Students don't typically have a lot of money. They had a lot of fun caucusing. I think that the federal government should guarantee that anyone who wants to participate in Democracy should be able to do so. Anything that gives people an experience to voice their opinions or just participate is a whole lot better than restricting votes or participation to those who can afford to. Kind of nasty OP to begin with but that's just typical around here these days. This whole process should be uniting us as Americans and it's just freaking me out. But there are a lot of reasons for people to be very angry, so I don't know. Maybe all politics has to be like this from now on.

6. This is normal operating procedures up here in New England
I have traveled from Mass to NH many times to hear a candidate speak. And yes, they sometimes provide a bus for those that want to attend and don't have transportation.

There is no "new" scandal to this practice at all.
