A Slice of Pizza and Flipping off the President: A Great Day!

All over town today there was a presidential buzz. The president was coming to town. Most folks in my red state town really like the president. Many got dressed up in there Sunday best just to stand on the street and wave at his presidential motorcade as it drove by.

On my lunch break I went to my favorite pizza joint I go to ever Wednesday. Low and behold the street was blocked off. Apparently the street that the pizza place is on was on the presidential route. My friends and I grabbed a seat and a slice off pizza as we watched the pedestrians line up to get a glimpse of the man.

As the motorcade drew near one of my friend's curiosity got the best of him and he left his pizza to go outside and stand with the crowd of onlookers. The anticipation was getting to me too and I had to make a decision pizza or a chance to get a glimpse of the man that is the head of the most powerful nation on earth, the man I despise most in this world. I made my decision, dashed outside and started to walk up the street were the pedestrians were waving and clapping. At that moment I saw it, a dark limousine with flags waving, I knew what it was and I knew who was in it. I had no sign to hold up, I was ill prepared for that moment. There were no protesters only towns people happy to get a glimpse of their president, clapping and waving.

I quickly raised my hand and gave the one-finger salute.
I don't know if he saw it but it sure felt good!

11. It was a high and kind of empowering

There were these black humvee type of vehicles with a secret security type with his head out the window starring at the onlookers. A former co-worker told me his friend got pictures of the vehicles and they had machine guns in them.

It was all kind of surreal. But I thought after-wards in some countries I might have been killed on the spot.

I hope that we the people of the United State of America will always be able to give our presidents the bird.
