The Bizzaro Moment from the Republican Debate
For me, it was when the squeegee men were falling over each other in their efforts to praise the United States health "system" as the best in the world.

Reality check:

1. To me, that was a nail in the coffin for the gop.
I hope Our Dem. Nominee hammers Universal Healthcare. It is a winner.

Then they better do something about it, when they win.

2. It's almost like they're trying to lose......
.... or they've already met with Diebold executives.

and also to the big money folks at the pharmaceutical & health insurance companies.

edited to add: they also know that the media won't present the universal health care side fairly & completely.

6. Yes I think that's it
they practically squeal their appeal to Bush as no one is supposed t be paying attention to the public display of begging. The same with the money base which is scarily withholding funds from their Bush imitation crony contest. It reminds me of the Network conversion where the reporter abandons all his ideas in order to appeal directly to the corporate god, alone- as the ratings sink and the middle men then have the reporter shot.

It has zero to do with democratic appeal or even the residual GOP base of cranks. They are pleading on their knees to their gods to favor them with the crown. While the press is put on notice not to notice.

5. It just shows their ignorance of the facts. They should also check
out the rankings for infant mortality. The United States ranks near the bottom of industrialized countries.
