The midnight voting is a longstanding, amusing tradition in Dixville Notch, a tiny remote town in northern northern New Hampshire. It's fun.

A pity the town is so small and has only one useful purpose every four years; if its name appeared more often, it'd become famous in the boys' johns in middle schools all across America.
