I just watched the "Clinton Crying" video, and have one thing to say
all you people saying she was "crying" are fucking idiots.

She didn't even get teary.

What a fucking moronic rightwing hitjob this is, and DU should be fully ashamed for promoting it.

1. DU promote rightwing propaganda, why how can you think so?
Nobody needs paid operatives where there's such a ready supply of fools and tools.

4. it's not DU, it's the Obama camp
Many of us watched the video - there were NO tears. But when you have a traveling chorus, and a theme -- you have a wall of sound that doesn't listen or care. I doubt seriously if most of the people posting those *crying* posts even heard the video. Just a really nasty game of telephone.

28. Look.......before we all get mushy
lets take our time and look at the facts, I've watched the video over and over and no one can't

convince me enough that she wasn't crying, she choked backed tears, she lost her tone, her eyes

became watery, her nose runny, now....correct me if I'm wrong, aren't those suppose to be the

characteristics of crying? If not what is?

My thing with Hillary is not that she cried, she used the moment to attack her opponents, sympathy

went right out the window for at that juncture.

For those of you who are ignoring the facts, pay close attention too what happens after.

If its not an Oscar moment, I don't know what is.

35. That was exactly my take...I didn't see it as crying..I saw it as emotional, which isn't bad and I
will say, I found it even a bit touching....until she went in for the kill moments later with her comments and her "Rovian moment" about how a President needs to be experienced to handle attacks from the Boogie man....:eyes:

That's where she lost me....Oscar moment is a good way to describe it....And, as I said in another thread, what experience? I don't consider her any more or less experienced than Obama or Edwards...I guess her "experience" means because she has Bill by her side? Sorry, years of being married to someone doesn't qualify someone to me and while I love Bill and he may be in the White House, its not his name on the ballot...

It was an Oscar moment today....and I didnt buy it....But all the Hillary supporters are weepy themselves over her...they fell in love with her all over again....

There is some sense of shame lacking in this kind of stuff. I don't buy the rationale of "all primaries are like this," either. Things have slipped into the sewer this year.

16. Viper-like cruelty and stupidity
It's made me angry beyond words -- and I'm leaning Obama at this point, too. It's not quite so simple as: all things are permitted with Hillary because she's a woman. But the nature of the hate campaign that's been waged against her for the last 15 years has certainly been conditioned by the fact that she's a woman. And that campaign has obviously been absorbed by a lot of people who wrongly thought they were too good and too smart for it. You said it, "some sense of shame lacking ...."

25. A college friend from many, many years ago once told me
that if you want to know for real what civil rights in America are like, just try testing them.

same with women's rights. If you want to know the real state of women's equality in America, just test it. And there's no better test than a woman running for president.

Today, on DU, we saw the real state. And it's dang ugly.

Good job, boys.

27. Oh, "well up", huh? And, in your opinion, does that justify the portrayal that's ensued on DU?
I don't really care if she wins or loses.

What bothers me is the dishonesty I'm seeing here. Tell me you don't think the potrayal of this episode by many on DU has been dishonest. Put yourself on record.

26. Bingo!
I first heard this interview on the radio tonight, and I didn't recognize her voice -- wondered who was talking, then realized it was Hillary.

Later, when I saw it on TV, it occurred to me that she had actually been crying quite a lot before the interview. Why? Exhaustion, frustration, profound disappointment, even, perhaps, anger.

But the comments about how personal it was ... that struck me as totally calculated. Edwards scored points in the debate on this one, and, like the "change" meme that everyone is now parroting, Hillary shamelessly wasted no time in appropriating this winning soundbite.

32. What is totally pissing me off is that those of us who don't feel sympathy for her are horrible
people. :wtf:

I saw her start to cry and sure started to feel a twinge of sympathy and then I thought-WAIT A MINUTE HERE.

This is a person who has voted over and over to kill people in Iraq.
This is a person who hasn't cared one bit about how the corporations have gotten richer and richer off the backs of the middle class and the poor and as a result more and more people slide into poverty.
This is a person who has supported just about every horrific thing the rethugs have set in motion the past 7 years.

WAIT JUST A FUCKING MINUTE HERE!!!

Have we all lost our mind around DU?!!! Hillary Clinton is feeling sorry for her SELF because she may have lost her chance at being in power & control of this country! Meanwhile HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS have died for a war that she voted for and funded over and over and over again. And she is feeling sorry for herself! My gawd. WTF?!

Sorry, but I will save my sympathy for the people who have died in vain in Iraq and their families who have suffered so long and miserably. NONE of them deserved this. NONE.

34. Who. Gives. A. Fuck.

I am not a Hillary supporter. I'm voting in the primaries for someone else. My best friend is a Hillary supporter, and we have great, ripping arguments about it. Just wanted to that out of the way.

But I don't *care* if she cried, almost cried, thought about crying, has cried ... I just Do. Not. Fucking. Care.

The piling on about this is absurd.
