of Iowa Democrats didn't like Obama, yet Bush's press
whores keep saying, "America has changed, Obama has charmed the white man."

Anybody believe that?

Remember what they did to Harold Ford?

Who thinks America has changed in the last 14 months?

BartCop.com

Man, the republicans want an African-American or a woman to be the Dem nominee....they know it's their absolute ONLY chance to stay close, going up against either of them, they are laughing & drooling at the prospect but NEVER on the air!....

Anyone but John Edwards who they know would just kick republican ass as ALL polls have shown and so far the corporate media has been able to keep Edwards pretty much in the background, if he does surface on republican media (CNN, Fox, NBC, CBS & ABC) he is always trashed....

3. So Edwards had 30%, which means that 70% of the Iowa voters didn't like him.
So can you tell me how Edwards would "kick republican ass"?

7. Talking point straight out of Tweetyland
It's a multiple candidate primary. That means that it's nearly impossible to grab anything but a plurality. Before Iowa, Tweety was opining in his simpering fashion that if Clinton polled 33%, it would mean that fully two-thirds of Democrats rejected her candidacy. Of course, it means no such thing, unless, like Tweety, you're stupid enough to think that the Democrats who didn't vote for Obama or Clinton or Edwards are going to throw their support to the Republican nominee in the general election. A ridiculous proposition on its face.

And Harold Ford, little DLC tool that he is, deserved to get thumped.

18. Ford got more votes than the last three white Democrats who ran
for US Senate in Tennessee. So yes, I remember what "they" did to Harold Ford. Stop peddling cynicism. I won't vote based on fears and negativity about what I imagine other people might do.

Anyone who voted for the war in Iraq will lose the election. "I was for it before I was against it" doesn't play well in Peoria.

21. You obviously missed Bart's point.....
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 11:54 PM by LaPera
Ford was trashed by these same republican racist who are praising Obama with their media machine ads trashed Ford right before the election with political ads of some white woman calling for him or some bullshit like that....

You believe it's "peddling cynicism" and these same republicans are now above that in 14 month's? Bart makes a very valid point...Have the republicans or the racist changed in the last 14 month's....or will the same happen to Obama, of course it will? Bart's hardly a racist and is wise enough to see the racist republican duplicity!

Personally, I just hate all fucking piles of shit moderates!

25. And there's no proof that's why Ford lost.
The ugly attacks could have won Ford more votes for all we know. What we do know is that white Democrats who ran did no better than Ford. If anything, the lesson is that we do better with black candidates.

Then it's pure ignorance....about how subtle they will trash Obama using shit just as they did Ford....And believe what you want, Ford was fucking ahead before those ads were placed by the republicans...Your holier than thou shit doesn't cut it with me!

29. We can't control what Republicans will do.
We don't have to let what Republicans will do control us. Why let the Republicans pick your candidate for you? You think appeals to racism decided that election but you have nothing but your own fears and cynicism to prove it. I think Ford lost because he was an uncle tom DLC Democrat that acted too much like a Republican. How do you know I'm wrong?

Ugly racist attacks by Republicans could play in Obama's favor when it turns off white moderates. You're being a mind reader but you don't know what millions of Americans will do. You don't know how it will play out. You're voting based on your fears and lack of faith in the public. I'm not.

The DLC and all their fucking candidates, especially the ten "Dem" moderate to right-wing assholes who were elected to the congress in 06....

A fickle, dumbed down, media swayed public that will believe anything, including the media machines hype on the great Wellstone, 9-11, the equally great Hugo Chavez, Bush won Florida & Ohio etc. etc...

Sure there are tens of millions who will understand and do the right thing and vote for a black man or a woman or a progressive....But, as we can see with where we are at today....unfortunately, never enough, and it's exactly what the republicans have and will continue to exploit!

You do however have a point....The Dems have won the last four presidential elections and most now are more sick of the republicans and their sick racist preying ideology than anytime I can recall in my lifetime...even more than when Nixon was sinking up the WH....

The six years of total republican rule has indeed completely exposed the fascist corporate republican ideology and planned agenda.

You're the one who's always referring to race.

Edwards will win the nomination there's no doubt about it!

26. Face ot whoever you are, the argument
that America will only elect a white male is buying into racism and sexism, and the comment about charming the white man is flirting with racism.

And if you think Edwards will win, pray tell how he'll accomplish it? I can tell you Obama's path to the nom, no problem:

He beats Hillary and Edwards tomorrow.
He beats Hillar and Edwards in NV in 10 days.
A week later he smashes them both in SC winning by 30 pts- and that's just what he's polling now.

On Super Tuesday, he wins in Illinois, Georgia, Alabama, CA and several other states.

He continues winning.

He goes to the Convention and accepts the nomination.

It's an absolutely fucking racist statement! No two ways about it... What republicans are all about...ALL republicans, are racist, greedy, sexist, liars! That's the point BartCop was making.

Obama with all his hundreds of millions of dollars will fade, I'm sorry to tell you....Obama is a fucking moderate, Edwards the progressive will rise....But, let's get fucking real here, it's speculation on both our parts....winning Iowa means jackshit, Pat Robertson won fucking Iowa....See what Obama winning in NH will mean in two month's!

People voting for another candidate does not necessarily equal them not liking that candidate; and as far as your math, bear in mind an even larger percentage of Iowa caucus goers voted "against" everybody other than Obama.
