Chuck Todd and David Gregory are on Harball DEFENDING Hillary for her "tearful" chat today.

:wow: They defended her. They said it was a sincere moment. She's had a bad week and it's probably just catching up to her. They didn't trash her at all. Gregory said her reaction to the question about her "not being likable" at the debate the other night was a natural reaction. Anyone's feelings would be hurt. It's a normal human emotion. They are being sympathetic.:wow:

Are they feeling guilty for slamming her for months on end and bringing her down? Tweety's show has been a Hillary trash fest for the last 2 months.

5. Chuck Todd's wife works on the Edwards campaign.
:) He had to disclose that one night before he started discussing politics on MSNBC as their political director.

15. They ARE! And all these talking heads also go to parties with and hang out with the Washington
politicians in their private time. It's all VERY cozy, isn't it? The only people kept out of that loop ......... THE PEOPLE of this country.

3. surprized to hear Todd say that. He and Tweety are clinton trashers to no end. Gregory, I am
not aware of his stance.

4. They wanted a weak Hillary to run against the GOP
and they got more than they bargained for by helping minimize her...they set themselves up for a horserace they don't want.

11. I agree with them. I'm quite disappointed in Edwards statement. Some reports
made it seem like Hillary broke down bawling, but in watching the video on the Intertubes I can't even see anything much at all. Like Dean in '04, once you're down the media can't wait to pounce on whatever little thing they can find. They get so excitied it seems like one big national circle jerk.

17. "I think what we need in a commander-in-chief is strength and resolve,
and presidential campaigns are tough business, but being president of the United States is also tough business."

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/01/rival-reacts-to.html

He even uses one of bush's favorite words, "resolve." Their might even be some backlash in NH to this tomorrow..

18. Well
I read taht really quickly, but could it be the way ABC reported it?

"Edwards offered little sympathy and pounced on the opportunity to question Clinton's ability to endure the stresses of the presidency..."

Pounced?

19. Thank you. I choose not to wach Matthews
asking questions and then shouting down his guests but I respect Gregory and Todd.

But as we have seen even on DU - the woman is damned if she shows emotions and damned if she does not.
