Police: 'Angry' Man Sought Random Victim, Killed First Person He Came Across
SANFORD, Fla. -- A woman in Sanford who stepped out of her apartment to smoke a cigarette was stabbed to death by a man who was angry and searching for someone to randomly attack, according to police.
Investigators said Charlene McIntosh Amrhein was outside of her home over the weekend at the Charleston Club Apartments, located off Lake Mary Boulevard in Sanford, when she was attacked and killed.
A short time later, Solim Kolassiba was taken into custody. Kolassiba had blood on his shirt and officers found a large kitchen knife nearby, according to officers.
Police said Kolassiba told them he stabbed Amrhein because he was angry and wanted to lash out at the first person he came across, Local 6 reported.
