Media reports 1st & 3rd among Dems - but 2nd place winner (Edwards) still getting "silent treatment"
A lot of the headlines I've been seeing specifically mention the names of the 1st and 3rd place winners (Obama and Hillary) but didn't mention the 2nd place winner (Edwards).

The media destroyed Dean by replaying "the Dean Scream" over and over. Are they trying to destroy Edwards with "the silent treatment"?

Edwards came in second place, neck and neck with Hillary. And even more impressively, I believe Edwards spent about a sixth of what Hillary or Obama spent (correct me if I'm wrong).

At what point does the media finally report this is a three-way race?

At what point does the media finally report that Edwards is getting six times more bang for his buck than the other two front-runners?

Just for the record, I'd like to report that as I post this, 10 of the top 12 posts on DU's Greatest page currently do mention Edwards.

#1 Edwards is NOT done.

3. This is exactly why EVERY Dem must vote for Edwards!
The greedy corporate powers that be are very afraid of him. They are responsible for this mess we're in, and they fear an Edwards Administration more than any other.

Put John Edwards in the White House, and send a termination notice to the money grubbing cowards who have raped the American people and wrought pain and agony on so many these past 7 years!

You're on notice, greedy corporate bastards! Your days are numbered!!

4. Edwards is clearly the boogieman of corporate media..

The word "populist" must not be uttered without a sneer.. and Edward's name must not be heard without a negative attached to it.

We've seen this game before.

He would rattle the roof and shake the walls. . Dust off the dear old Sherman Anti-Trust
Act and break up a monopoly or two. It would be so good for America!

10. Well, he's also not making the particular history that Obama and Clinton are.
Another rich white man doing well in an Iowa primary isn't news in itself.

But good for him for getting this far with an other-than-corporate message.

8. PBS is even shutting out Edwards coverage!
Edwards was barely mentioned at 10 PM last night on The News Hour Recap and almost nothing tonight on Washington Week! All Obama/Clinton All the Time. This totally REEKS! :grr: :puke:

Did you see nbc's nightly news with Brian Williams tonight? After five minutes of the Obama/Clinton race, BW said (loose quote), "...and lest we forget to mention John Edwards with a stunning second place finish after Hillary Clinton." :wtf: A first I tried to tell myself that was just an idiotic slip of the tongue, but it just didn't settle with me as a mistake.
