I think at this point we can't really expect much more.

5. They had to carry Twitney out on a stretcher last night

while we were all discussing the possible fortunes of Obama, Edwards, etc. Apparently her substance abuse is out of control and she had the kids with her. Maybe a suicide isn't so far-fetched, unfortunately.

7. Don't condemn Spears. I think Spears is sadly bipolar

Her behavior during the period up to and including when she shaved her head is classic of bipolar. The danger of suicide is when she crashes into a depression off her manic highs. Spears should not be condemned for her behavior as she will have a very hard time getting control without medication. I feel certain she likely has already been diagnosed as bipolar. The problem is keeping her on her medication and getting her to take counseling seriously. Counseling and medication work hand in hand.

Last night sounds like it likely was a manic episode complete with the substance abuse that turned downward quickly into deep depression. I strongly suspect she was taken to the hospital as a precaution because of threats of suicide.

So this prediction is not a hard one to make.
