and the "first states" (whiney bastards) got the candidates to sign a pledge saying if anyone dared to move ahed of their originally scheduled dates they'd withdraw frolm the offending state's ballot and not campaign there. Of course the Clinton campaign disregarded tehy pledge, stayed on the ballot and our Governor (and Clinton fellow DLCer) has endorse her.

It's pretty blatant but the Dems in MI have been on a real tear about having choices forced on us. There was a debacle some years back at state convention and it seems "never again" has been the mindset ever since. Frankly I'm glad of it.

When we donate, we get a Thank You screen with a message from campaign manager David Bonior. Why Bonior? Why can't it be signed by the candidate? After all, this is an automated message --it's not like he's hand-writing each of us a thank-you card.

before the Iowa primary. I felt that Edwards needed it. I have never given so much to a candidate. Please give as much as you can. I am also working very hard for him. I tabled for him yesterday. It was great. Lots of people came up to the table to talk. One working class family came to me and said they are for him because they really need health insurance. The wife said they were paying $500 per month for their health insurance and it wasn't any good. The way the health insurance companies charge for health insurance that leaves you paying huge deductibles and fees for office visits and a lot of the hospital charges is just criminal. A working family that pays $500 a month for health insurance can't afford to pay anything more. It doesn't take a CPA to figure that out.

I have hearing problems so I wouldn't be any good on the phone, if fact I could do some damage. And I can't canvass because I have bad knees. I looked at their web site and there wasn't really any way to offer help. I could have taken 6 people to NH in my mini-van because I can drive, but no way to offer.

It really is a sucky design of a web site. I think there could be more volunteers if people knew what they could do to help, especially if they didn't have much money. I signed up and get his emails all the time, but they don't tell me what I can do except send money.

HE is the guy who is going to save my country and my future. i didn't really like him before - i think kerry tainted him (i definitely didn't like kerry though i held my nose and voted for him). i was a dean supporter in the '04 race, and this time around a kucinich /leaning edwards supporter (until DK threw his supporters to obama); HOWEVER, JE is organized, passionate, freaking smart, brave and tireless. he KNOWS what's wrong with this country and has detailed plans on how to fix it. he has heart.
