Disaster time for Romney
Romney worked his ass off and spent a ton of money in Iowa. He lost. This is devestating to his campaign.

6. No it's not; he was expected to lose to the fundies' hero Chucklebee.
Chucklebee will have far less support here in New Hampshire
(although Romney may lose here to McCain, which *WOULD* be
a 1-2 punch for him).

16. Howard Fineman said it was $10 million.
And Rachel Maddow said he was beat by a man who spent about as much as he does to manicure his lawn.

11. Not really
Huckabee is a non-presence in New Hampshire. Now if McCain carries NH, then it becomes a free-for-all. Oh goody! We can only hope. :bounce:

Romney is going to get buried.

17. The Huckster draws no water in NH.
To the Paleolithic Repubs, he represents everything that has gone wrong with their party. To the corporate Repubs who use NH as their bedroom and rec room, he's everything that is wrong with the party. As for the fundamentalists, well they seem to be like kudzu; they can't survive in cold weather. They're few and far between in this neck of the woods. Independents: See above.

The corporate may stick with Romney (one of their own), but this showing in Iowa could be fatal. The Paleos are still smarting from '06 massacre, so they won't back an obvious loser. He may get some support from the Independents.

The Gule is nowhere. Graniteheads are well aware there ain't nothin' upcheer worth blowing up, so his 9/11 wash rinse repeat falls on deaf ears. And he's got nothing else.

So, it's McCain again and, I think, Paul making a surprising showing, maybe neck and neck with Romney.

Democrats: Anyone's guess right now.

13. Serves him right
I'm glad Huckabee won - he was the underdog here, & Romney ran an incredibly dirty campaign. Plus, Hucakbee's easier to beat!
