My BP still spikes every time I see a car with Shrub's name on it --- and you?
Occasionally, I still see cars with a bumper sticker touting Shrub and Shooter 04.

I find myself cussing/shouting out loud --- something to the effect of ---- "you stupid fucking idiot, do you have any clue what your rethug dipshit of a president has done to our country?!!! Do you have a fucking clue how many thousands folks have died as a result of his arrogant and immoral desire to war??!!Ya happy now? Knowing what you know... and ya still leave that bumper sticker on your car!"

I have not evolved one iota toward a less angry reaction; in fact, it has only gotten worse. It takes will power not to roll down the window and vent - minus the fact they are probably packing a loaded weapon.

Anyway, as we roll into another election season...has anybody out there figured out a way to be Zen regarding all the very, very stupid pukes who follow their rethug leaders in ignorant lock-step?

I wish my blood pressure did not spike every time I see a Shrub sticker - but it does.

How about you?

1. Same here..
I have an extremely violent reaction everytime I see one, although they seem to get more and more scarce with time.

8. rusted out trucks and the occasional nice (but old owner) car has them
But I'm surprised at how few there are in my red area. And even more curious -- NO stickers for this year's crop of pukes? WTF is up with that? Are they embarrassed or something?

9. here in Indiana - I rarely see these anymore.
I mean probably less than once a month. Suggests to me that either all of this supporters are so rich that they all got new cars after 2004 thus no bumper sticker, or a lot of folks have actively removed them. There used to be TONS of probush bumper stickers.

So, no - it doesn't make my bp spike anymore. It always serves as a reminder ... of how long it has been since I last saw one. And that, I find encouraging.

11. I laugh at the absurdity of it.
Then I make sure the driver knows I'm laughing at him. Sometimes I will hold up my three middle fingers in the "W" sign, then drop all but the middle finger.

22. Don't they all look about the same?
Edited on Thu Jan-03-08 01:40 PM by RiverStone
But I stare at them too --- hoping they can read in my eyes how utterly stupid I think they are.

And why BlueGirlRedState, do almost all of them look as if they just got out of a 1974 Sears clothing catalog? They all look the same to me --- do they call each other to coordinate pastel clothing selections for the day?

So OK, I'm stereotyping - can't help myself!

15. I Hyperventilate
I have to pull off onto the side of the road when I see a car like that.

I get chest pains and a terrible headache.

I also get terrible tics -- my eyelids start to flutter and sometimes my upper lip begins to twitch uncontrollably.

Twice, I have (and I'm embarrassed to say this) wet my pants when I saw a car like that.

I really have an adverse reaction whenever I see a car like that.

17. Most of those that I see are usually on a Buick Century with some older citizens
(women usually have blue hair) or on some monster truck/SUV forcing someone off the road or hogging two parking spaces. I saw a party or something at a Grange Hall and there were a lot of them there. The Grange is an old farmer oriented organization that leans republican and is literally dying out around W. PA. I understand it is still alive and well in the midwest.

every time I see one of those stickers. And there are plenty of them where I live here in North Georgia. I am in Cherokee County, which is as red as it could get. In fact, check out this restaurant that just opened up in my neighborhood.

21. I haven't seen one of those for over a year now
but that one was on a massive Ford Explorer weaving in and out of traffic while the young female driving it was yacking on her cell phone. My blood pressure didn't spike, but I did think, "how typical, the only one on the road with anyplace important to go, the center of the universe, typical GOP."

I've only seen two pol stickers here during a foray into GOPland in the newly constructed McMansion district on the north side of town: one was for Ron Paul and the other one was a barely legible one for half dead Fred on an old diesel Beemer belching black smoke. I thought the latter highly appropriate.

Even the H2s driving onto the air base don't sport anything more controversial than "support the troops."

25. I see em in SW Pa,................ and give em a wide berth
they are not often the best drivers , indeed with their powers of observation they are lucky to find the keyhole............. theres often another sticker on there too........usually something to do with flag or guns or just a generally hateful point of view .............Riverstone , I just remind myself that they grow more irrelevant with each passing day.....and as this dwindling group of panderers and Bush enablers go through the motions we will see a surprising amount of logical thought begin to take hold as people now recoil in disgust....you can only fool most of the people for a short time...( sound of chickens returning to roost )............What will we call the celebrations / festivities as the Bush nightmare winds down ? Any suggestions ?

Of course, here we go again into another election cycle. Though I do think more pukes from 04 have finally gotten a crow bar and pried their head outta their ass. Some have indeed seen the err in the ways.

34. Back in 2004 I would see "W in 04" bumper stickers everywhere
here in Texas, but I haven't seen a single one, thankfully, in a couple of years. I think most of those who put them on their cars privately regret voting for him but won't admit it publically. In fact, I have seen very few political bumper stickers lately, which is just as well to me. The only sticker I have seen which I agree with was the one that said "Love your country, fear your government".
