Wow, this Stephanie Miller chick is GOOD!
If I still lived in LA, and still listened to the radio all the time in my car, I would TOTALLY be a regular listener...

...instead, I'm getting a good sampling off the YouTubes. But why did she turn down a regular TV show on MSNBC?

On EDIT: apparently it was to replace Imus. But then she decided not to return to this new format...

4. I think MSNBC let her guest-host for a while, but didn't offer her...
...a permanent job.

5. Yeah, that was the story.
It was never meant as a permanent gig. She probably had fun doing it but she wouldn't want to have to move from Los Angeles, which she'd probably have to do, to have a regular gig on MSNBC. Unless she really does want to stalk Keith Olbermann full time.

6. Besides her problem with "glowing" under the lights...
...she said on her show that they would have to really reign in on the ribald nature of the show if they went to TV. since jokes based on sex, excretory functions and frequent outrageously-imitated accents happen about once evey three minutes or so, it would take some of the zing out of things. The show is a hoot to be sure.

3. Stephanie and the mooks are great!
I stream her whenever I'm around and she's on (9 AM for me) and subscribe to her podcasts so I don't miss the laughs when I can't listen live (only $4.95 a month if you pay ahead for a year). :)

13. made me think of the Jim Wa rd version of
"it's a blunderful life'. Had to put my head in my hands I was laughing so hard.
Can never decide if Steph or Thom Hartmann is the best show on the radio.

10. Streaming Audio
There are probably a half-dozen places you can hear her show live on the internet. WCPT-AM in Chicago is one. Stephanie is on vacation all this week, however, and I'm starting to go through withdrawal.
