What I look forward to in the general election from each candidate.
These are just qualities I've seen from the candidates that I'd enjoy seeing in general election. This post is not meant to get all wonky about the issues. And I'm not posting about potential weaknesses in these approaches to campaigning. Just some things I'd enjoy. Please forgive me for including only these four, but I think it will be one of them (as I wear my DK 2008 t-shirt).

Biden: he's sharp, SHARP, on foreign policy (even if you disagree with him). He's got a quick wit and razor-like tongue and makes jokes at others' expense often in a mean fashion (again, I like this). He seems more than happy to call "bullshit" on an opponent at any given moment (and pretty much use this term--"bullshit").

Clinton: oh man, I love the Clinton political machine. They go into a fight with everything. You hit a Clinton in the nose and they break your freakin' kneecaps. All of the Republican candidates ought to fear the Clinton campaign. They all want her to win (high negatives), but she will make them hurt.

Edwards: I'd love to see the populist rhetoric in a general election. In my lifetime, I've never seen a campaign run on true, explicit populist rhetoric. The pundits HATE it, but I'd love to see how it plays out in a general election.

Obama: fantastic orator. I love listening to the guy speak. He's got great speech writers, and I think his on-stage presence will disarm his opponents. It'll be interesting how a message of hope will play--is this the Democratic party's "morning in America" moment? This will drive the right batshit crazy--as it did for many of us when Ronnie used it.

You'll note that the above list is alphabetical.

1. Ran out of edit time.
Edwards: I'd like to see his "they won't give up power easily; we have to rip it away from them" lines in a nationally televised debate. I want to see pundits' heads explode.
