My LTTE on Huckabee's radical nature makes it to print

I didn't notice it until today, but it was published this past Saturday in the Hartford Courant.

During the 1998 Southern Baptist Convention, Huckabee was a signatory to a full-page USA Today ad from the convention that endorsed women graciously submitting to the leadership of their husbands. That was 1998, not 1098, and it's certainly not a mainstream view.

Although most Americans personally oppose abortion, polls consistently show only 20 percent to 25 percent want to eliminate it, as Huckabee does.

Additionally, his tenure as governor of Arkansas was marred by scandals so severe that they would make John Rowland blush. Start with a Google search on rapist and murderer "Wayne DuMond," and you could finish with a Dec. 21 Wall Street Journal (hardly a liberal bastion) opinion article that called Huckabee a "potential ethical time bomb."
