Halliburton/KBR Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Update
Edited on Sun Dec-30-07 08:37 PM by CorpGovActivist
At the request of a fellow DUer, here is the latest public update on the Halliburton Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations:

1. Latest http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/45012/000004501207000309/0000045012-07-000309-index.htm">Halliburton 10-Q quarterly report, filed October 26, 2007 (search on "Foreign Corrupt Practices")

2. Latest http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1357615/000135761507000019/0001357615-07-000019-index.htm">KBR 10-Q quarterly report, filed November 1, 2007 (search on "Foreign Corrupt Practices")

The DOJ, SEC, and other Federal agencies are conducting a set of very real, very thorough, good-faith investigations - and shareholder derivative lawsuits are drafted and ready to go, just in case BushCo. intervenes.

1. Dave - For any newbies on DU ("DUbies"?), would you mind providing the link to your
website? I'm sure they would find the account of what's going on with you as fascinating as I did.

Btw, I wish someone would come up with an alternative to the word "whistleblower" which, to me, has a
negative connotation. It always sounds like the person who's the hero of the piece is being called a villainous name.
Is that just my personal impression, or do you agree?

2. See the "Rolodex Card" Symbol Next to Each Poster's Name?
I have the URL in my profile.

"I'm sure they would find the account of what's going on with you as fascinating as I did."

Thanks.

"Btw, I wish someone would come up with an alternative to the word 'whistleblower' which, to me, has a negative connotation. It always sounds like the person who's the hero of the piece is being called a villainous name. Is that just my personal impression, or do you agree?"

Get a group of whistleblowers around pints in a pub, and that is just one subject they'll debate.

What the...?

:puzzled look, scratches noggin:

"frozen oxen"?!?

Please explain.

Does your basement have:

1. Non-extradition treaty status;

2. A well-stocked island bar, with plenty of little umbrellas to put in the drinks?

If so, we could have lots of fun creating the "Frozen Oxen" concoction.

which sounds kind of dumb.

I knew that would throw you for a loop but thought I'd gamble on the chance that maybe
you'd been following that other thread which, for the life of me, I can't remember the title of.

Time for a nap!

G'night -

Yeah, go to bed.
Tomorrow you can look at the posts from the Lounge and find the OP by "Philboy" entitled, "I am so discouraged."
There you will find complete and unexpurgated information concerning the frozen oxen or, as I prefer to call them, froxen.

Sleep well!

In my experience, serendipitous scraps of data - plugged into more formal research - often lead to the most exciting discoveries, synaptic diversions, and the like.

I don't believe in wasting serendipitous data scraps, my friend.
