16. I don't think that is correct
Wolf's Sunday show airs on CNNI, but otherwise, isn't he usually relegated to the domestic network?

but to an american audience.

Siegel represented Bhutto in America so he most likely knew or communicated more often with Wolf than others.

i don't see why people are surprised by this or think it's unusual.

I caught his talk with the Pakistani ambassador - he folded like a cheap umbrella.
Someone here might come with the name of the e-mail recipient.

Bhutto Sent E-Mail To Wolf Blitzer

New York (AP) -- It was a story CNN's Wolf Blitzer hoped he'd never have to report - an e-mail sent to him through an intermediary by Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto complaining about her security. Conditions of use: only if she were killed.

Bhutto, who was assassinated on Thursday, wrote to Blitzer that if anything happened to her, ``I would hold (Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf responsible.''

Blitzer received the e-mail on Oct. 26 from Mark Siegel, a friend and longtime Washington spokesman for Bhutto. That was eight days after she narrowly escaped another attempt at her life.

20. Typical self serving deception.
Technically accurate, sort of, but deliberately misleading. Standard practice and habitual. Do these liars have to go through some specialized training in order to learn to deceive without getting brought up on charges, or are they just natural con artists who spin to their advantage without even noticing? I wondered the same thing, why HIM?, and then just figured she must have done a mass mailing. Talk about vultures feeding on a corpse. Wolfie must be contending for alpha status.

A reporter with a somewhat shaky (I'll be nice) reputation in the Muslim world is chosen as the conduit for the post-death ruminations of a Muslim political figure with ties to Western "powers." Interestingly, the message gibes quite closely with the narrative being rushed to print by the usual suspects in the Western ideosphere. (See: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x328665) Hey, look over there!

But we're talking about a credible news source here right? No one is suggesting that CNN or Blitzer would ever....

22. I also forward all of my important email to Wolf Blitzer.

http://andersoncooper360review.blogspot.com/

Apparently Bhutto wasn't completely naive, because in October she emailed U.S. spokesman Mark Siegel to state that if she was killed, Musharraf was responsible. Not responsible like he hired somebody to take her out, but responsible like he didn't provide proper security. After receiving this message, Siegel then forwarded it to...Wolf Blitzer. I also forward all of my important email to Wolf Blitzer. Well, I mean, since he is in fact a robot, it's probably pretty safekeeping. So Blitzer, or the Wolfbot, if you will, is given instructions not to report on the email unless she's killed, but now she's been killed, so...here's the Wolfbot! He tells us he was scared for her. Then we get a clip of Siegel basically listing all the security stuff Bhutto was denied by Musharraf. But the Pakistani ambassador to the United States see it differently. In his clip, he claims that if it wasn't for security provided by Musharraf, she would have died back in October. Why does that not make me feel better? And just in case we're not already a little on edge, the Wolfbot freaks us all out by almost emoting when he tells us that in this situation the "stakes are enormous." Anything can happen. And they have nukes. Sleep tight, guys.

23. Well, if the Wolfbot
says the stakes are enourmous... maybe we need to consider some additional strategic assistance? Maybe we need to consider supporting a Bhutto PPP successor in a power sharing deal with Mushie. Maybe some special forces? Maybe something to help us all sleep better. Democracy, Supreme Court whaaa?

27. From what one reads, this was a subject of hers to just every one.
I also think this was sort of her history. Killing off each other seems to be the thing with these ruler type in that part of the world. In fact in a lot of the world it is done faster than voting.......If I think about it I find countries that have a history of voting out or in people seem to be the few I can name. Killing off these people seem to ne more in line with things. I do think it is less than when I was a young person but I may be wrong.More counties are run by the gen. pop. than back in WW2 days for sure.
