Would this ever happen...Hillary/Obama or Obama/Hillary?
Has anyone ever heard this? I just read it and it's new to me.

On December 12, speaking to conservative bloggers at a Heritage Foundation luncheon, Tom DeLay
had this to say, "Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.) would be elected president in 2008 and would probably tap
Senate colleague Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) as her running mate."

Yes, it's coming from Tom DeLay, but he's in a better position to know the DC-goings on, than we are.

Is it even possible that if Hillary won the nomination, that she would select Obama as a running mate?

Conversely, it is possible that Obama would select Hillary as a running mate?

The very notion is something that I have never come close to contemplating, and the mere thought of this
makes my head feel like it's splitting in half.

Is this even possible?

2. I think it's possible.
No matter what was said during the campaign, our Democratic candidates will kiss and make up.

4. They're running opposing campaign platforms...
Obama/Edwards would be more likely to happen but won't.

5. probably, neither would ask
they're too big for VP, don't balance out regionally or ideologically, and would probably rather stay in the Senate.

9. Why do you say that they are alike...
...in their beliefs?

I think Hillary is a complete corporatist and a warmonger. I hold out hope that
Obama is not like this.

Why do you believe that they are so similar?

Have you selected a candidate yet?

7. You wouldn't think so, but
If I recall correctly, during one of the debates Obama said something about how he was looking forward to getting advice from Hillary.

Who knows?

16. But LBJ helped JFK in the south
Neither Obama or Hillary provides a regional lift for the other, as far as I can see, and neither covers another's weaknesses (like Biden could be selected to cover another candidate's foreign policy weaknesses). It's not really a good fit for either candidate.

10. I doubt it very much. They don't like each other, but beyond that,
I know there are racists and anti feminists out there, and more of them than I want to admit. I think it's possible to have a majority elect one or the other, but both together? NO.

but, I would say it's highly unlikely.

21. Of course
But I doubt that he would.

While I do dislike Hillary, it's not hate and I would support her if she was his candidate and vice versa. Though it seems unlikely that either would chose the other. Both would need to bring someone with other strengths to ticket.

The best thing would be that DUers would have to take back all the mean things they have said about the candidates!

19. Not a chance if HRC's the nominee...
She'll pick a DLCer like Evan Bayh to appeal to the "moderate" vote. Triangulation, ho!
