Hillary accused of leaving "too large of a tip"
Sorry if old, but what the fuck is WRONG with these people? God damn how stupid is Fox News? :banghead:

On the November 9 edition of Fox News Live, host E.D. Hill said that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is "spending like a Learjet liberal on the campaign trail" because her campaign said it left a $100 tip for a $157 bill at a restaurant in Iowa, adding that the big tip "just plays into what people say about liberals." Hill also said, "You know what the rap is against the Democratic Party -- that it's out of touch with reality. It talks about the common man, but every time you look, there's John Edwards getting a $400 haircut, or Senator -- Vice President Gore living in a house that consumes 20 times the energy of a regular house."

I should add that I'm not a Hillary supporter but god these people are fucking stupid.

3. I'm not a Hillary supporter, but that is a trap by Republicans.
If Hillary paid a miserly tip, she would've been labeled an ungrateful elitist. If she paid a generous tip, she would've been labeled as out of touch with working class America.

Kind of reverses the usual pattern, doesn't it?

7. My best friend used to leave huge tips
And he certainly didn't have the money the Clintons have. Good service is good service, and if you can afford to show your appreciation, there's definitely nothing wrong with making life a little easier for that server for a little while.

Republicans are pigs.

20. I always leave HUGE tips
I used to be a waitress. It is one of the toughest jobs in the world. Just grinding, back breaking work, and you have to deal with some real assholes, sometimes. I leave tips that are at least 50% of the bill, and usually 100%. I do that because I can afford it, and because it makes someone's day.

I took an employee out to lunch today and she found a piece of wire from the grill brush in her food. The manager took the food away and brought her another meal, and took the meal off of my bill. I tipped the waiter the amount of her meal AND 75% of the bill.

I think that if you can afford to go out to eat, you can afford to tip well. I know that most people would never tip as much as I do, but it makes me feel good to know that my tip can be the bright spot in someone's day.

13. Well - I Agree With The Statement
The big tip does just go to show something about liberals - that we are generous and try to take care of the little guy.

A friend of mine worked her way through college as a server at Red Lobster. This was about fifteen years ago. Anyway, one time some people left her a $50 tip on a meal that was less than $30. She'd been talking to them and told them she was in college and with the tip was a note wishing her well in college.

You know, sometimes people just want to do something nice for some one else. I guess this Conswervative from Fox Noise doesn't get it.

22. Wasn't it just a month or so ago, when the talking point was that she was that she didn't tip
And now she tips too much!

Ahh, let the hilarity ensue.

I tip big, I've never been a waitress because I don't have the patience. Plus, I know someone's bound to stiff or leave little at some point and I like to make up for the jerks down the line.

First they were bitching that she didn't leave a tip and now the tip is too big. It's ludicrous. When you have real money you should always tip above and beyond.

31. Tip heavy, tip hard, tip often
Even when generous, being a Clinton means all deeds are evil on Faux.

E.D. prolly sits with a calculator, figures out the 15%, and halves it.

Note to Mrs. Clinton: Well done :)

38. It wouldn't matter what she did
Faux would find something to criticize. If her campaign had left 10% they would have called her cheap. If she would have left 20% they would have found something wrong with it also.

My neocon cousin was having a fit about Edward's hair cut. I was laughing so hard by the time she got over her "righteous indignation" she was embarrassed. She kept sputtering and I asked her why it was so important that he spend four hundred on a hair cut if he had the money and it's what he wanted to do. Neither of us knew how much he gives to charity or how he spends his money and what about Darth's suits. She was embarrassed into silence and I didn't even feel badly.

It didn't occur to E.D. Hill all the extra work the restaraunt staff have to do when these politicians and their entourages show up (especially if the stop is part of the stump), and DESERVE a huge tip? OH MY GOD! HOW DARE HILLARY SHOW APPRECIATION! I'd bet $100 E.D. Hill is a cheap fucker that doesn't tip at ALL.
