2. Nobody's stopping you.
Or, I guess, paying attention to your candidate, either.

12. Look at the recs, seems there's a lot of agreement with the sentiment
I'd like to see a lot more discussion of the positive attributes of Biden, Edwards, Kucinich, Richardson, Dodd, and even Gravel. They're getting lost because of all the redundant threads pro and con for the media darlings.

Enough, already. Since this is one of the few places people can read about the other six candidates, it would be nice if their voices weren't being drowned out.

yesterday was bad, but I've seen some of the vilest posts today. Ergo, I either stay away from GD-P or hide threads.

But I fear only in the primary.
I like our chances better in the general with Dodd.

14. Like who?
The other GOOD candidates that voted for Bush's war like Edwards, Biden, and Dodd. Or the ones that are so GOOD that they can't get above 3% in any poll.

17. Much of the noisy racket is INTENDED to drown discussion of other candidates. It won't cease.
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 04:04 PM by troubleinwinter
Keeps the focus off other candidates that are worthy.

Are all the noisemakers legitimate supporters of their 'candidates'? Or just making sure that there is so much cacophony of bullshit, that we find it difficult to have good serious conversations of some candidates that truly should be part of our Democratic discussions?

24. Indeed Sen Dodd did a great job on the holding off the retro active immunity for telco's bill,
Sen. Biden has been spot on in his analysis of the international affairs, Gov Richardson has impressive diplomatic credentials as well as an in depth understanding of the immigration issue and he opposes the "war on drugs" and Rep. Kucinich, well, I have yet to find a single issue of his on which I disagree.

The sniping between the Sen Obama and Sen Clinton camps, in particular, has been ridiculous static in the middle of our discussion about this most important election.

The worst of it are the newbies whose express purpose here on DU seems to be tearing down any other candidate who is not theirs. Interestingly, there are some of these vitriolic posters who never seem to explain why their candidate is worthy of one's consideration, at least not in a way that resonates.

Fortunately, there are many more who are gracious in their support of their candidate and recognize we're all in this together.

The newbie partisan vipers are quite unpleasant. And, like you, I question their ultimate agendas.

I now understand why longtime posters here warned of how much things here can SUCK during the whirling vortex of the primaries. MKJ

23. Sickening, isn't it? Our strongest are ignored by the MSM--and here.
I'm still undecided and would love to debate the merits and shortcomings of our QUALITY candidates.

27. Discuss away...
Do you need permission to discuss your "good" candidates? Most people who wish to display their superior mental powers and discernment simply bloviate for paragraphs railing against whomever may be the front-runner and sometimes even throw in a few paragraphs promoting the fine qualities in the person they believe should be the front-runner. Little do they realize, were their choice to be the front-runner, there would be plenty of reasons for him/her not to be! So... join the crowd. No reason to ask for certain front-runners to disappear. There will always be a new one to replace him/her. That's the thing about being in front, or in back, there is always somebody there, and always somebody to wish there wasn't.
