There are no "experts" on the present world situation.
There are only people with different solutions and different ideas of how to survive and how to cope in this new world. None of the ideas have been tried and proven to work. Remember that when you go to vote. Guiliani does not have the answers, anymore than George W Bush has the answers. In fact, his ideas are very similar to Bush's, maybe worse? Hillary does not have the experience to handle these problems and neither does Obama. We should listen to the person that is most rational and makes the most sense. If violence or war is part of their solution, scratch them off the list.

1. True--each situation is unique, and there really is not much preparation
you can do to deal with challenges like Pakistan--I agree with you, look at what the candidates have done and said in the past for the best predictor of how they'll act in almost any situation. McCain will use ground troops in almost every situation, Giuliani will bomb and threaten, Hillary will teeter between diplomacy and military force, depending on what the prevailing mood is, Obama will lean more toward diplomacy--same as Edwards.
