Round table on Tweety: Assassination a win for Clinton and McCain
of course they didn't put it so crudely but that's the point.

2. Sick--but, whatever. The media has to make its pronouncements, whether
there's any truth to it or not.

5. Double standard alert. That's sick, but
Axelrod coming out blaming Hillary for her death isn't? Gosh you don't need to be too obvious

9. Axelrod didn't blame Hillary for Bhutto's death. You might be able
to fool other people with your bullshit, but not me.

23. He answered a reporter's question about whether or not Bhutto's death
would help Hillary. He said, no, and here's why. Nothing wrong with it.

Has he been paying people to pick lettuce for $50/hr?

14. Because he's been in the Senate for a really long time--therefore, he's
a statesman somehow.

7. Nora: "Who Benefits from This?" exact quote. I think they're all wetting themselves
trying to rachet this up and directly into the campaigns. We are so screwed. Your words are very apropos... crude

Matthews: "Clinton and McCain are looking good tonight."

Because a woman, a hero to her people, was assassinated.

18. They are making WAYYYYY too much political hay out of this. All of the

candidates (save maybe Richardson) had appropriate responses. I guess the media needs something to masturbate over, and to manipulate the primaries with.

8. That is obscene. Hoping that this tragedy makes the US population
fearful enough to want a continuation of the Bush regime (in the guise of Clinton or McCain) is just sick. I only hope that the US population is not so stupid as to be led in that direction...

his pronunciation of Pakistan than the assassination .Ouch!

29. You're right. He brought it up in a debate a while back.
It wasn't even a "topic" at that time. I was thinking "REALLY? Pakistan? Why haven't we heard about this before?"

Pretty impressive.

21. To be quite honest, we should deport all our Cable TV "pundits" to Commie China
I think their incisive brand of political commentary would be most welcome there.

And they wouldn't have to change a thing except who they toady to with their nonsense.

They fit right in among the Top Party Officials there.

Has there ever been such a nauseating carnival circus of clowns as the Imperial Punditocracy?

28. They're not even dealing with fact--they're just promoting the stereotyped
images of the candidates. Bhutto dies, McCain and Hillary suddenly equal strong and knowledgable leaders who will keep us safe. Bizarre. Hillary had a good response to the tragedy. So did Obama. So did Edwards, and Biden. Once again, pundits are trying to shape the race as they see it.

Just a game, a fun horse race. Just like in 2000 and 2004.
