So will Bush return to DC from vacation?
It will be interesting to see if Bush cuts his vacation short after the assasination in Pakistan.

5. No. And Condi won't miss the year-end clearance at Ferragamo, either.
Nevermind that this has the potential to set off nukes in the second most populous country on earth and an emerging financial powerhouse (India).

Gotta have those priorities, ya know?

7. He didn't do anything when *we* were attacked and 3,000 or our fellow citizens murdered...
Why should he care about what happens to one person halfway around the world?

10. sure he did...
he kept fleeing around the country for most of the day. That's how he earned the monicker "captian bunny pants" for how he hopped around and fled/hid.

It should have warned us - the fact that he left ole Dick to run the WH and run the show.

8. Hell no. There's still all that winter brush to clear.
Bet he suspends his "visit" to the MidEast scheduled for next year, too.

9. Doubt it. I think of his reaction (when at Crawford) when the
Israeli tanks were pounding down Arafat's compound during the Easter Holiday (was that 2002? 2003?) - he had no response for a day or more, and when he did he looked sluggish, befuddled, and sounded garbled. It was as if he knew there were HUGE implications of what was going down, but couldn't fully grasp what those were, and was FAR out of his league in knowing what to do/how to respond. It was one of those moments in the near post 911 era where bush looked like he realized at that moment that as president he was supposed to do something, and to know what to do but was dwarfed by the responsibility and certainly not up for the job.

I think the longer the delay between the event and a Bush response (his, not Dana nor anyother bushco spokesperson) the more like the Easter response (drunk deer in the headlight-like) will be.

12. Do you think congress should return as well?
Maybe they should pass some kind of bipartisan declaration condemning this horrible act.

Maybe it's just me. He seems to be enjoying himself more than any other person in history.

16. of course he won't. he'll propagandize her death in terms of terrarists killing democracies (he will
never identify himself as one of the terrarists killers of democracies) ... he will make a fluff threat to pervez musharaff to make sure he preserves democracy ... (not mentioning the fact that poppy's dirty hands along with musharaff's own may have been behind bhutto's assassination) ... and he will *art after that, have some texas baked beans, or mommy's prepared peanut butter sandwiches, go biking in his ranch, *art again and sleep off whatever hangover there may still remain there for him.
