along with U.S. racial issues...

This past summer, EBONY Senior Editor Sylvester Monroe and photographer Valerie Goodloe traveled with former President Bill Clinton through four African countries. Clinton was making his annual sojourn, heading a delegation from the William J. Clinton Foundation. The nine-day tour through South Africa, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania focused on the foundation's ongoing work on health initiatives and economic development within those countries.

During the delegation's stop in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, Clinton gave EBONY an hour-long interview during which he touched on subjects ranging from Oprah to ownership. Here are the raw audio files from that interview.

Part 1 - Clinton on:
The Other Africa
Giving Africa a chance to define the future and claim it

Part 2 - Clinton on:
Oprah's South African School
Claiming Rap's Empowerment
The Hazards of Rewarding Capitalism

Part 3 - Clinton on:
Why Education Should Adopt A Corporate Model
A Colorblind Society

2. Thanks so much for posting this...just put it on my iPod and I'm getting ready to listen now
I've always felt that President Clinton is at his most eloquent, when discussing matters of race.

And Africa is dear to his heart.

3. I listened to it twice
I can't think of another politician that I'd want to hear the same hour twice. Maybe Wes Clark.
