Iraqi/US troops attack Headquarters of Al-Sadr...... LINK
http://www.kuna.net.kw/Home/print.aspx?Language=en&DSNO=954152

It is reported that 14 military vehicles have it surrounded after bombardment, while Al-Sadr is out of the country. Further reported that documents and records are being seized.

So how long will it take for there to be a new announcement of Iranian involvement in Iraq?

IMHO this has the potential to set off a firestorm of attacks by the Shiites added to the Sunni insurgents attacks, both directed at the Iraqi Government seen as the US puppet, and the US troops stuck in the line of fire.

3. Oh man, the last time they shut down the newspaper, Sadr City erupted in
violence. 8 US troops died, including Casey Sheehan and another 50 were wounded. Al-Sadr has over 10,000 in his army across Iraq and they WILL react to this.

4. Interesting
This happens just two days after Rice complained about the lack of a crackdown in Shiite areas of Baghdad during the surge.

Now the question becomes: Is this a real crackdown, or window dressing to protect Malaki?

6. You will likely hear this again and again... Al-Sadr fled to Iran....
I am betting that the reported story about Al-Sadr fleeing to Iran for his safety will become a linchpin of the argument that Iran was supporting attacks on US soldiers, especially when they produce all these documents they seized in the attack on his headquarters.

You can see this coming....

9. Especially in light of the report about the Iran plan
and how moron* won't just bomb iran if they have nukes but ALSO if they attack any of our troops.

So with Sadr fleeing to "Iran" (even though several sources state that he's still in Iraq) any retaliation will be spun as Iranians attacking them via Sadr's connects/orders.

I see the other giant shoe plummeting towards earth.

10. Has there been any verification from another source yet?
If this is true, I'm going to the store to stock up on canned tuna and duct tape instead of heading to the gym tonight, 'cause a mighty shitstorm just might be coming. :scared:
