I can't believe this crap , santa ana winds and more fire watches .

The entire country is cold but not here , what a hell this will be . I swear , I will not spend another year in this state if we have to walk to get out of here and the weather people think this is great , they need their heads inspected .

1. It will be 65 here
in the valley but I have spent several Christmas Day's in the high 70's and low 80's. A cold Christmas is something I have never experienced. Lots of sun and t-shirt weather is the norm. What would be great weather for this time of a year?

4.  I want clouds and 45 degrees
I miss the seasons so much I can't tell you just how much . I am from Chicago and yes it's cold but I miss that . always have . 80 is not winter weather in my book and my wife is pissed too , we hate the heat . I recall one thanksgiving here in the 80's when it was 90 here and it was horrid .

They say it always looks greener on the other side , well I know both sides and I'll take the cold and snow .

If we did not have out 4 cats we would get in the car right now and drive north until we felt cold , plus we would need the money for gas and a place to stay .

6. If I could send you snow
I would in a heart beat. As for me, just call me happy to be a desert rat.

5. My best friend is flying from LA to KC to see his girlfriend tomorrow. He'll
be thrilled with the 'real' winter weather (we're both from Seattle), but he'll only be staying a week.

Keep warm!

3. gee,
I like it that way. The East coast sucks. I grew up there and never want to experience winter again. But that's just me. :o)

7. We're in the 80's too in Florida
I think it is absolutely beautiful here, though. I don't really miss the cold up North, though.

8. I wish it was in the 80's here (MA)...
without the dry spells and fire watches of course.

Fortunately yesterday and today was in the 40s and quite a bit of the snow that was dumped on us the past week or so has melted down pretty good. So far, the forecast for the rest of the week is for unseasonably warm temperatures. :)

10. Well, no.. not the entire country is cold
It's a balmy 79 degrees here in Sunny South Florida. For an hour or so today I thought about turning on the air conditioner again, because it was getting hot in the house. But, we set up some fans instead and now it's a nice 80 degrees in the house.

Of course, we don't have fire watches down here right now. We have drought, but hurricane season is over now. Give it another couple of months. Then Florida will be on fire, too.

I've grown used to it over the years, but my first Christmas here, it was difficult to get in the spirit of the season. I mean... who ever heard of it being 80 degrees outside for CHRISTMAS. I got to go to Chicago a couple of weeks ago and had my fill of freezing cold and snow. It was really pretty when it snowed and I was in the hotel room, but... when driving to the office the next day, I remembered why I never want to move back North.

Merry (albeit warm) Christmas. There are worse things than having 80 degree Christmases. Much, much worse things.

12.  I hated Florida , no offense
I lived there between 1976 and 1980 , it was not my first christmas there however , each year when we were kids in the 50's my parents drove us all down there to Tampa to visit the grandparents , I hated the sun and never saw the point why my grandmother would have us all pile in their car to see christmas lights , it never felt like X-mas there to me . Palm trees as here are not the spirit , I could not wait to get back to the cold and snow , I was used to the cold , anything above 0 degrees felt warm to me , now that I'm old i would probably die in 0 degrees . We used to get below 30 in Jan there in Chicago . I need seasons to feel alive , not 12 months of summer .

20. hehe No offense taken
I mainly hate Florida, too, but it's where my job is and where my two oldest daughters are now. It's become home now, although I wouldn't rule out moving in the future.

I'm the opposite. I can't take the cold. I hated it with a passion when we still lived in Maryland. I went through one winter in Northern Wisconsin in 1988-89 and it was awful. I felt like I was going to die all the time.

14. Seventy- five degrees in Yuma means sweat shirts and pants for me
May sound crazy but when one spends almost 6 months of the year with temps 100 degrees plus, the old blood does thin out.

16. Dude, it's L.A.
What's so unusual about the weather? It spikes into the 80's at times throughout the winter.

And it's supposed to cool down near the end of the week anyway.

Lots of people, including myself, put up with the high cost of living in this state because of the trade off of having the trifecta of nice weather, the ocean and skiing in the mountains.

18. Come up to Oregon
And if you like 45 and cloudy, this is the state for you. It was around 50 today, with sunshine. Never too hot, and snow is 30 minutes away. We also get all 4 seasons. Flowers will start blooming the end of Feb, first of Mar. I love it.
