This Inevitibility Crap is too much for me...
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 01:07 PM by JMDEM
I can smell a rat a mile away, and I smell about 2 million, pouring out of the woodworks.

Whenever the annointed one is criticized, they all jump at once. "Do you want another conservative judge on the SC? You want another Repuke in power for 8 years? If not, then you'd better get USED to the idea of voting for our candidate." Inevitable. You have no choice. Get used to it. It's already been determined.

But if the annointed one is attacked in any way -- oh, we all become "haters" and "sexists" and all sorts of vile things. And the pile-on is immediate and intense.

My "favorite" is blaming the MSM for attacking the annointed one if they ever come out with a negative article. Attacking -- right... Making sure the annointed on becomes annointed is the MSM's wet dream. Oh the sparks that would fly. Oh the battles royale that would be held. And best yet -- with the highest negatives of all the candidates, the most likely to usher in another 8 years of disastrous rule for the common man, yet glory years for the international corporations. (Whether this person wins or loses.)

The primaries are the primaries. We'll see who wins. It's pretty obvious where the three top candidates stand. One wants to be buddy-buddys with the people already running the country. (In fact, already is). One wants everyone to just get along (like the last 20 years indicates that???) And one wants the common man to take back his and her power, to have some control over their lives, their health, their income, and their security.

It isn't inevitable. Don't let the whitewashers snowjob you. Vote for who your heart says holds the highest hopes for you as an individual as a common man and woman, not for who you "think" you should vote for.

If the convention gets deadlocked, then so be it... something will work out.

1. Thank you and I am getting GD sick of the endless "polls' cherry picked to "prove"
inevitability.KoS had a wonderful Diary on how almost any candidate can be promoted this way but the annoited one is really utilizing this system. Power to the people.I am sickened by the lobbyist money lovers! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a sucessful New Year to the people!

5. Too bad, no. Iraq and 9/11 overshadowed Dean and swayed us to pick a military person...
Not that Kerry was all that bad. The country wanted an alpha male in a time of fear. Unfortunately an alpha butthole in Ohio made sure a beta chimp remained in power in Washington.

Little Boots didn't win in Ohio.

He basically had a second term the way his first started- he was appointed again.

10. That is for a whole different discussion...
Of which I am not educated enough to carry on a heated debate. But I still think Blackwell/Rove stole it. But again -- for a different thread.

3. An Aura Of Inevitable Triumph, Sir, Is A Powerful Tool Of Leadership
Over-awing opposition is the most economical means of overcoming it.

"Execution of a threat is always less effective than its utterance."

9. It could very well serve us well...
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 01:22 PM by JMDEM
It could also get out of hand like Chicago, 1968. If such a thing happens, I hope very cool heads prevail. We don't need anymore "Brooks Brothers" riots on national TV.

11. I think there is an obvious Democrat
who could step right up and take the Nomination from the floor. This would be, indeed , good for us. That is my hope. I for one will do my best to make it happen.

12. We would see...
A 33-33-33 split would allow an outsider to move in. A 49-25-24 split would not, at least not without great angst. That 49 percenter would hang on for all (s)he's worth.

14. I think you are failing
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 01:36 PM by MNDemNY
to take into account the "type" of people who become convention delegates, If given the opportunity, most will flock to our "outsider" With little or no angst.Very many delegates go to the convention with the marching orders from the primary, or caucus, but few are "true" believers. It may not sound "right" but my experience has shown it to be true.

It's infuriating, because all of these damned "loyalty oath" posts pertain to one person only.

I like my Democratic candidates to be, you know, Democratic.

19. I don't know about you, but I find it motivating
I even cleared my ignore list a few weeks ago. The more they attack, the more effort I put in for Edwards here in my (late primary) state. We are getting the word out here, and when I have had a long day and just don't have the energy, I come here and read up on how I am a sexist (I am a woman) and I am right back out.
