13. Hmmm..."Liar" move from fourth place in March 2006 to 24th in February 2007
I guess the "Whaaa...!!! I got bad intel!" mantra chanted regularly in the Corporate Media regarding everything he's done (9/11, Iraq invasion, Katrina, etc) is finally paying off.

35. I noticed that. They've been successful in making the public forget
that bush LIED for this war. Maybe the upcoming Cheney trial will refresh their memories. It's always seemed like a big deal to me. Lying for war. All the blood, the suffering, the looting of the treasury, the harm to our national reputation, our security... oh, LOOK! Some lady with tits died...

16. Up until Katrina, the corpmedia pushed Bush as completely 'honest' and the polls reflect that.
It took a fockin' category FIVE hurricane to blow back some of that mediaspin to give the people the chance to see what the media had been hiding from them.

Not that people see him in a bad light now, but that they saw him as "honest" for years. How stupid and blind are some people?

42. As stupid and blind as the corporate media wanted them to be. It was almost the entire presscorps
in DC who pushed the idea that Bush was a 'straightshooter' and a man of integrity and completely honest. I can remember David Gergen saying that 'everyone agrees that Bush's character is sterling' .... I thought I would just croak after hearing that during the 2004 campaign.

24. I threw out President and Conservative as neutral and
came up with 143 respondents who used positive adjectives and 148 who used negative ones. So, there may be less negative adjectives but more people chose them.

26. Yes, I threw out pResident, but not Conservative.
Of course, yours is a better way to do it; count the number of respondents rather than the number of responses, because more than one person can respond with the same word.

Thanks, I feel better now! :)

29. What is just absolutely mindboggling ...
Is that from day one, a certain segment of the population had it put in their minds that he was "honest" and that was something that just has stuck all along with them ...

My god, I NEVER have felt he was "honest" ... After competent, honest would be the last word I would have ever used to describe him ...

33. Can "war criminal" count as one word?
Edited on Tue Feb-20-07 04:27 PM by WritersBlock

I don't want to use up both of my alloted words, because I'd need to put "traitor" in there, too, if I was going to accurately describe him.

On edit: Drat. Just re-read it and realized I only get one word in total. Not sure I could choose between the two, though.

34. Bush is a warmonger
Warmonger
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warmongers

This article is about the word. For the novel, see Warmonger (Doctor Who).

A warmonger is, pejoratively, someone who is anxious to encourage a people or nation to go to war. It is often used to describe militaristic leaders, or mercenaries, commonly with the implication that they either may have selfish motives for encouraging war, or may actually enjoy war.

By etymology a warmonger is literally a seller of war, from monger used as a transitive verb, meaning a peddler.
