We delivered phone cards at the VA Hospital this morning - pictures
Edited on Fri Dec-21-07 03:36 PM by proud2Blib
Santa helped us

A close up of one of the cards

The Congressional Office phone number is on them. Smart idea!

Afterwards we stopped at the grocery store and Santa visited with some kids

Then we went to the Vietnam Vets office and dropped off our extra phone cards. They were most appreciative.

1. Good for you!
Get that man something to eat, his belt isn´t tight enough to be trustworthy.

3. Outstanding.
I think that those soldiers appreciate your visit far more than a cheap, plastic magnet stuck on somebody's car three years ago and then forgotten.

11. The phone cards? I don't know anything about them.
But it sounds like something people would like to use. :)

12. Oh I am not sure
I think they said they were $10 or $15 each. They have two hours of time on them.

They are sold all over here. It's a big business - Hispanics use them to call home.

10. That was very very very nice of you.
These people have sacrificed so much. If the government weren't such nickel-and-dime Grinches, they'd just allow all the patients at the VA unlimited long-distance calls home for the Christmas season, as the USA's Christmas gift to them -- thanks from a grateful nation -- but no. Bless you for taking up their slack.
