How many believe that if the House held successful impeachment hearings
some Senate Republicans would vote to convict Bush and Cheney and remove them from office?

1. I do.
Start with cheney. A serious, sober investigation, like Wexler requests would expose irrefutable evidence of crimes. Federal Crimes. Constitutional Crimes. International War Crimes.

Some pukes would vote to convict, those up for re-election or retiring to start with.

5. Hagel is retiring
Word it right, and he might vote to convict. He has noting to lose.
Forget the others. Not even former district attorney Arlen Specter would
step up to the plate, and forget the women from Maine and Lieberman, too.

Bush could dismember Laura with a butcher knife on the 6 o'clock news, and
as long as he said he was doing it to combat terrrrrists, Lieberman would
vote to acquit.

7. No - . they wouldn't get a single Repub vote.
Which is one of the better reasons the Dem leadership does not back impeachment,

8. As the currently ignorant public (thanks again MSM) becomes aware of the crimes and charges...
The Republicks would be insane not to go along. Either way they're screwed, but they would stand a chance of keeping their jobs by voting for impeachment.

I think it's a win-win for U.S..

10. With the crimes that would be exposed they would have no choice but to vote to impeach
And that is why it is bullshit to say we do not have the votes.
