Dear Nancy and Harry
I know you have not kept your bargain to the American people. You accepted the mandate to end the war in Iraqi and then disappeared into a cloud of greed and complacency. But, it is the Christmas season so, I have decided to forgive you for lying and stealing.

Now, when you return from your paid vacation with travel expenses, plenty of health insurance, free haircuts, stamps, etc. etc. etc.and after delivering your gifts to your wealthy constituents (earmarks), I'd like to ask you a favor. Would you come back with a spine replacement and stand up for our American service men and women as well as the the innocent Iraqi people. Tighten your boots, so you won't shake out of them and kick some administration ass.

May you have a powerful New Year and send George and Dick running to a safe haven overseas.

Liberal Hypnotist, Liberal and proud of it.

1. *sigh*
I fail to see this as good rhetoric or even decent snark, though I understand it's really about blowing off steam.

7. Because I've yet to see anything positive...
From Debbie Downer since she/he hit the scene...

I'm the first to point out that DU gets heated when elections come around, and that the whiners are more to blame for the problem (if there is one) than anyone else.

Besides, I thought your OP was worth more than that snark.

26. You know, you are right.
As I read your response, it hit me that since Georges second win/steal in 2004, I have been negative. Thanks for the insight. I'm going to become more positive for 2008

27. That wasn't pointed at you... but...
If some light was shown, I'm pleased:) I pledge to follow your lead. Even if it means putting some folks on ignore for a while... I'm not all that strong when the tempers flair myself. But at least I know myself, right?

when it gets smacked down good and hard it then makes a nicey thread distraction. then all over again with the snarkiness overload. rinse and repeat.

12. I've noticed a pattern too.
You have a learning problem. This is hardly the first time you've called me out. In fact, you've done it several times, despite it being against DU rules. Self-restraint seems to be something you lack. And I'm happy to say, I'd never sink to the level of calling another person on a discussion board, "it", which demonstrates pretty clearly that you are not a liberal or progressive. Dehumanizing others is not a progressive value.

20. and you have an attitude problem.
of course My insults is so much worse than Yours.

you also seem to have this odd sense of some entitlement that I can't figure out. You seem to just hover around waiting to throw your weight around and demean people without just cause.

Merry Christmas.

24. calling people "it" is
far worse than a *sigh*. A sigh indicates impatience with an argument or a sense of futility. Calling someone "it" is a deliberate attempt to strip a person of humanity. That's axiomatic, as people are not objects. Too bad you can't see the difference. And as you have no hesitation calling people out or hurling insults yourself, you simply demonstrate a text book case of hypocrisy.

Merry Christmas

17. I've never encountered it...
actually, I've never known any one to be so consistently rude, condescending, flippant, and derisive. It must take a lot of practice. Ah well..we are all teachers and students...and what you teach is what you learned. Sad.
