Several hundred bluefish are dead after a pump mishap during planned maintenance at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Lacey Township led to a manual shutdown of the plant. The fish died Wednesday after they were suddenly exposed to colder water than they had been used to. The company says "a few thousand" additional fish are likely to die before it can bring the plant safely back online and restore warm water to the canal where the fish are.

and what is to replace the many thousand dead fish in the food chain? nothing.
