Its just a typical office fire, must everything be a conspiracy theory?
Hell, offices burn all the time, seems like every other day or so we hear about an office fire, paper burns, we all know that, sometimes important documents get lost in fires, happens all the time, no need to fly off the handle and start wild theories and such, that just makes us look bad.

After all, this is the vice president's office we're talking about, vice president's never have anything all that important in their offices anyway, they are just there in case the president is unable to fulfill his doodies.

Why are people SO suspicious of our elected officials? Jeez.

And when those three World Trade Center buildings all fell down, that kind of shit happens all the time, there's no need to go all conspiratorial and paranoid all over everything and embarrassing yourselves. I swear, some of us need to be immediately medicated to counteract the constant, chronic, paranoid schizofrenia so common among liberals since the year 2000.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

:sarcasm:

1. No, not with this Administration. They are criminals and destruction of evidence is to be expected
I do not trust any thing at all that this Administration does nor do I accept that anything that happens while they are in office is simply an accident.

4. Lots of businesses keep important papers in an electrical closet.
And it's a normal reaction for a President and VP to do a victory lap with the firefighters after an office burns. It's no big that the VP was smiling for the first time since 9/11 as his office burned.

If they had nothing to do with this fire, it would have been a major security threat. The entire place would have been on lock down. It would have lasted longer than 30 minutes. chimpy and dickie wouldn't have giddily come out for a photo-op.

21. It many have very well been totally unrelated. But we've all had "friends" in the past who
would constantly lie about this or that, so after awhile one got to the point where you did't believe anything from them and expected the worst.

They have betrayed any trust they should have with the people, so everything is suspect until proven otherwise.

What a shame we have "leaders" like this.

11. Simple Answers Are Complex And Visa Versa...
I view many tin foil hat threads here on DU as just the immagination going "whatif"...especially in the wake of any news involving this executive. Every move is scrutinized for the most nefarious motives (not that I don't think its justified) and the worst is assumed to be the best.

As is the case with most conspiracies I've encountered...you run into people who think the answers are so simple they're right in front of you, yet so complex you can't "get it". Thus its an argument of heads they win, tails you lose.

A couple of things should be thrown into the tin foil mess. First is that most of what Crashcart does is "off site"...at his Google-burred bunker known as the Naval Observatory. I read that he loathed to go to either Capitol Hill or the EOB and only did so for cabinet meeetings and photo ops. Also, a lot of the business that is conducted today is electronic...or at least as far as getting evidence is concerned. Phone records, visitor logs, daily planners and the like are stored on computer systems...most of which are backed up off site.

While I'm sure we'll hear that subpoenaed documents supposedly were destroyed in this fire, I think we need to learn more about that office and what crashcart used it for. Any arson investigators around?

19. Seriously though, I do believe that there is a sense of outrage and ...
I'm not sure, maybe a form of jealousy among some Conspiracy Deniers. As in, they see themselves as being right, educated, successful and so on...and then here come these "crazy loons" who often {but not always} don't share similar social circles as they do, and so an inevitable type of class/snobbery comes into play.

The denier thinks to him/her self, "I'm very intelligent, I've done this and that. I have my degree. Most people I know think just like I do. How is it possible these DORKS could be correct about something so big and obvious that I don't see?"

35. Typical would be a very apt description of this little event..
just like so many other typical happenings of the last seven years. Let's see, the SCOTUS decides that there will be no recount of votes in Florida, handing a dubious victory to george bush and dick cheney. The next typical happening was that somebody hijacked U.S. airliners with box cutters and crashed them into various buildings killing 3000 people. The next typical happening was that somebody attacked Democratic members of Congress and journalists with Anthrax. The next typical happening was that the administration immediately began to strip U.S. citizens of their Consitutional rights under the guise of "fighting terrorism". The next typical happening was that they ran an election whereby they threatened U.S. citizens with the inevitability of more attacks unless they voted republican. The next typical happening was that the administration lied to the American people about the impending threat from Saddam Hussein in order to browbeat the country into an invasion and occupation of Iraq. In typical fashion, billions of dollars "went missing", completely unaccounted for.

Some other typical things that have happened: A CIA agent's cover was blown by some unknown person in the White House, this was done because this person's husband tried to expose the lies that the bush administration was telling about Iraq. After proclaiming that he wanted to get the bottom of who had committed this act, bush commuted the perjury sentence for the guy who lied to the S.P. in order to cover it up.

george bush, clearly showing signs of mental illness and or substance abuse, is "re-elected" in a very close contest.

Millions of e-mails have "gone missing" from the White House server. The U.S. is torturing people and incarcerating them without charges or trials. The V.P. shot somebody in the face, it wasn't reported to police for nearly 24 hours, and the person he shot was made to apologize. People at the DOJ were fired for political reasons, and the Attorney General perjured himself in an effort to cover it up. Videotape of people being tortured by U.S. officials was "destroyed" for some unknown reason after a court order was issued to preserve evidence.

I'm sure I could go on about what kinds of things we can typically expect out of this administration, but I think I need a drink first.

is because our supposedly "ELECTED" democrats are spineless jellyfish unable to call up the local police officer and direct them over to the white house.

it only takes one person to have the courage to do this.

one silly little simple cop with attitude... our secret service are so pathetic, I would not worry that they could stop this cop.

for god's sake.... someone please find a cop for rent that can do this for the rest of america.
