with the campaign.. Only John. And I never use that e-mail for anything other than really important items because I don't want it flooded like my other... Next thing I know I have Obama in the InHouse box asking for a donation for a yard sign. I don't get it. How did they get my e-mail?

some people "harvest" email addresses, compile them into lists and sell them. I don't think the Obama campaign would buy such lists.

Harvest bots go through the internet just like search bots and extract any string that meets the ***@*** criteria. Also there are more than a couple of them that can penetrate blog sites and extract their registered lists, encrypted or not. Russians have an entiore industry built on this model.

I don't support either one of them. I've never gotten anything from Obama.
Somebody is selling candidates their email lists--it could be anything from MoveOn to NH Democratic Party (for whom I volunteered in 2000 and 2004).
Unsubscribe if you don't want it--that's what I did.
