S. 2332: Media Ownership Act of 2007 (Bipartisan)

I just got an email from my R Senator who says he will support the Media ownership Act of 2007.

I received this email a few days after signing a petition to stop the fcc from allowing further consolidation of local media.

I was really surprised to see that not only was he supportive of the bill, but also a co-sponsor mainly co-sponsored by democrats. The email reflected a great deal of confidence this bill would pass.

This gives me a great deal of hope that our (Democratic Majority) congress can put forth bipartisan progressive legislation that serves the American publics interest.

2. Corcker is my senator

He kind of ran as a moderate I guess. Though I didn't vote for him I am pleased to see the democratic congress working with republicans to get bills like this one passed.
