6. Our generation had more educational opportunities
and there was more social mobility after WWII. Additionally there were more caring human beings after the war. While my parents generation had aircraft and radio and early TV, not that many people shared in their experiences, but look at the technological advances we are enjoying today. Of course there are negatives as the right wing regrouped, but I'd rather be me than the kids born today. We enjoyed the great outdoors and were free as birds.

Life is harder for kids today and parents are afraid to let them roam free in playgrounds as we did with impunity.

7. I was raised during the Eisenhower years, post WWII. A wonderful
time. One TV on the street, Tuesday nights at the Haydens to watch Milton Berle. My father was convinced TV was a "passing fancy." Hahaha, still laughing over that one...
