that thousands of our fellow citizens in Oklahoma are still without electricity.

But since this does not involve oil or war, I know he does not.

Thousands in Oklahoma mark 10th day without electricity

Wednesday , December 19, 2007 Posted: 11:34 AM

SKIATOOK, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma's utility companies expect to restore service to most of their customers Wednesday or Thursday.

Crews have been working 13-hour shifts to get the lights back on following the ice storm more than a week ago. But 37,000 customers are still off-line.

In a small town 30 miles north of Tulsa, Ronnie Driscoll and his wife have been surviving with a gas stove, flashlights and battery-operated TV. But they're growing impatient.

Driscoll says, "We're out here in la-la land, and we're the last ones to be taken care of."

President Bush has issued a major disaster declaration for seven Oklahoma counties battered by the ice storm. Federal funds will now be available to reimburse state and local governments for cleanup and infrastructure repairs.
-----

What the f*ck do you mean federal funds will now be available? Is 10 days without electricity the measuring stick for federal fund availability or was there something in Iraq that needing rebuiding first? Something that we blew to hell. Sure would be nice to be able to mobilize the National Guard to help rebuild OUR COUNTRY, but I guess Iraq is more important.

9. "What are you talking about? The Constitution doesn't guarantee electricity..."
Actual quote by one of the 20% out there who still support what's his face in the White House.

5. Have you tried using waterboarding to convince yourself?
I hear it works just dandy. Hell, you'll be loving Big Brother in no time.

Remember: "1984" is more than just a book, it's a training manual.

8. At least in Oklahoma we have tribal governments,
so we are in better shape than those of you suffering under what Georgie calls "my government."

During the January ice storm when the lower half of the state was without power for weeks, the ONLY offers of assistance I experienced came from the Choctaw Nation. The only semblance of emergency response came from the Choctaws.

Georgie and his Evil Uncle Dick have broken everything about this country. Everything.

10. He doesn't care that the soldiers are getting their limbs blown off in Iraq
so I highly doubt he cares about anything at all except remembering where he stashed his latest bottle of jack daniels.

11. You know what this shows don't you?
That government doesn't work. Here, why don't you let privatization take it off your hands?

13. He's so self-centered, self-obsessed and narcissistic
All he cares about his is so-called "Legacy", which is a pile of shit. He can't understand that he has been the WORST president in the history of the United States. While people drown, starve and sit around in the cold dark, he's fantasizing about his Bush Library.

14. I thought that, too...
...early on. Especially after 9/11. But the evidence has convinced me otherwise. He believes in pushing off federal responsibility to the states (unfunded, usually). He believes in privatizing everything (schools, Soc. Security, medical coverage, pensions)...which is his way of saying "It's your private business, and you're on your own. Sink or swim." It's pathetic.

I'm sorry for what you and your family and neighbors are going through. The money and National Guard have been used up in Iraq. Wrong war, wrong place, wrong time.

16. don't ever delude yourself into thinking that
nothing matters to him, he'll always be safe from need or want. he'll never have to face a cold night or a medical bill that isn't taken care of, so don't go thinking anything in America means a thing to him. Except more money and power.
