Anyone else just see the "Thank You Troops" ad from Freedom's Watch on MSNBC?
All those people saying "Thank you, troops, for protecting our freedoms!"

"Thank you for keeping us safe!"

You could sure tell it was rightwing nuts at work. And of course, if you said that to their faces, they'd say "Why do you hate our troops?"

2. Too bad. The last I heard, NBC rejected that crap.
You'd think that troop exploitation would have run its course by now.

6. They must have gotten a phone call. There was a short blurb out
last weekend saying they "changed their guidelines". They initially rejected it because the FW website was too overtly political. The "change" was to only look at content and not at the related web site.

(Nice going, Ari!)

3. Lockheed Martin pretty much has the same commercial, Freedom march probably
uses the same ad agency and they probably used the same script. I know what Lockheed is selling, Freedom March, not so much and i'm sure if i knew i wouldn't want any.

4. I think I would ask them why exactly they think that our troops are protecting our "freedoms"?
And I would ask them too actually think for themselves when answering! Fat chance of that happening! This war isn't WWII no matter how much their idiot pResident wishes it too be! :argh:

7. If they really wanted to thank the troops they'd bring them home..
I've spoken to a number of soldiers in Iraq and according to them the troops that want to come home out number the troops who think they are "protecting our freedoms" by 50 to 1.
