In the early '70's, the country troubadour, Merle Haggard, had a song titled, Help Me Make It Through December. It was a trying time, much like the present. Nixon was the President and the weather was cold and bitter in many places in the country. I remember it well.
I was in Cincinnati at the time. I was hungry, cold, and homeless. The only thing I had that anyone would give any money for was my blood. I sold it.
Although it seemed that the tunnel was forever dark, there was sunshine at the other side. I survived and so did our country.
December will soon be on its down side. We shall soon be closer to January and a new year - a new beginning. It has been a cruel month and a cruel year but we will endure. We will not surrender to these cold and heartless times. We will make it thru December and everything will be all right. Don't ever give up. Never. Ever.
