The baseball steroid report...a Dubya cover-up...?

Apparently, Peter Gammons wrote the following on his ESPN blog...

Not that most owners had enough time to really understand this, which is why it's fortunate that Mitchell did not go back to the period when George W. Bush owned the Texas Rangers -- which Jose Canseco and others have fingered as a performance-enhancing Wal-Mart -- because there is no way Bush had any idea what was alleged in Canseco's book.

Maybe Bush wouldn't have understood the "juicing" going on in his franchise. Maybe he would have -- after all, he was apparently no stranger to controlled substances. But a leader is responsible for those he leads...and it sure would have blown a few holes in Commander Bunnypants's reputation as a born-again advocate of abstinence if those working for him had the reputation of being the biggest systematic users of illegal substances in the game.

But there were way more players on the juice than on the little list that was just published. And if you are gonna drag one through the dirt then you should drag them all through the dirt.

Its not just a "Dubya" cover up. Its an entire baseball cover up.
