Conference to mobilize Christian leaders to "vote and win!"
I see an awful lot of talk about "preserving America's social structure" and nothing about feeding the poor or housing the homeless here. Is this shindig tax-exempt too?

TUALATIN, Oregon, Feb. 19 /Christian Newswire/ -- Evangelical Christians are the largest voting block in America. The future course of America depends upon them mobilizing 19 million that are eligible, but not even registered to vote. In 2006, 22 million did not vote, but that is about to change. The 2nd Annual Restore America Conference, February 23rd and 24th, just outside of Portland, Oregon is gearing up to educate and mobilize 1000 Christian leaders to encourage their constituents to vote and win!

Ken Hutcherson (Antioch Bible Church) and Rick Scarborough (Vision America) will address Church leaders at a free Breakfast regarding the critical leadership role they must play if America’s Judeo-Christian Heritage is to be preserved. Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel/Dean, Liberty University School of Law); Judge Charles Pickering (former 5th Circuit U. S. Court of Appeals Judge), and Constitutional scholar Herb Titus (Founding Dean of Regent University Law School), will address Marketplace leaders at a Luncheon regarding their role in restoring and preserving America’s social, political and judicial structure.

David Brog (Christians United for Israel), Gary Cass (Reclaiming America), Janet Folger (Faith2Action), Marshall Foster (Mayflower Institute), Stephen Williams (Prepare the Way Ministries), Pickering, Scarborough, Staver, Titus, and David Crowe (Restore America) will address the General Sessions on Friday evening and Saturday regarding Islam, Israel, and the War on Western Civilization, Godlessness in America: What it means for America and our Children’s Education; Judicial Tyranny: Erasing Christianity from our national memory; The High Cost of Ignoring God: mass social, moral and economic degradation; Demoralizing the Nation & Demonizing Christianity: The destruction of traditional marriage, family, and the making of moral distinctions; Censoring the Moral Voice of Christians: “Hate Speech & Hate Crimes” legislation; Reclaiming the Education of our Children: Voiding the influence of secular, anti-Christian humanism; and Mobilizing the Christian VOTE: Restoring the nation…Under God.

Online Pre-Registrations (www.restoreamerica.org) ends at 9pm, Wednesday, February 21st, wherein On-Site Registrations open at 5pm on Friday, February 23rd.

Media/Press Check-In is Friday at 1pm in the Media/Press "Welcome Center" and a Press Conference will be conducted at 2pm in the Main Auditorium. There is no cost for Media to cover this event.

3. Why do they use the term "Christian" when they should just be using the word "right wing"?
Edited on Mon Feb-19-07 04:16 PM by Pushed To The Left
How Christian is it to be against hate crime legislation? The religious right is the reason that I became politically active, joined the Democratic Party, and donate to the ACLU. Anything that can be done to destroy this destructive, intolerant movement should be done. Anything that hurts the religious right is a good thing!

In my opinion, it is unconstitutional for these people to be successful, because the laws that they want to pass violate the 1st Amendment: NO ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION! They are trying to make laws based solely on radical fundamentalism, and the Republican Party should be ashamed for pandering to them!

4. Oh, I think he is right when he says things are about to change.
You know 19 million people - that is about 6% of our population - that is all.

They are the largest voting block, huh?????

You know at some point the rhetoric hits the road. I question their tax status - I think the revenue service will be hearing every word they say. They better be careful.

On the other hand - what these kind of people really did manage to do was awaken a very large majority of christians, like me - who actually read the gospels and believe in them.

They bastardized our religion - and that is coming back at them right now.

It is all Karma.

Everytime they email me I will post what they say. There is a religious left.
