Atlanta is truly blessed to have his savage wit on display in the AJC. And he drives the local wingnuts absolutely batshit insane.

Swing by his online "comments" section sometime. Crazy-white-Southron-rightwing-guy city.

And yet the online voting is almost always overwhelmingly favorable; it's clear that most visitors to the site are there to laugh at Luckovich's targets, and to laugh at the crazy people who hate him.

5. They really don't get any *more* moranic, AFAIK.

Occasionally I'll see over at one of the progressive sites (like Atrios) the notion that "we have the stupidest trolls on the Internets." But I don't know of any place that really rivals the AJC for stupidity of a right-wing bent.

Although I'll admit I haven't checked out every general-use daily paper's "comments" section, and I imagine the AJC's isn't all that atypical. Freepers post the same stupid crap everywhere.
