GORGEOUS!!!!

I miss the snow, and I miss "winter".

I've had to run the AC the past couple days.

3. It's having nationwide repercussions. I called Hill's (the Science Diet people)
today to place a diet order (Tuesday is order day, Wednesday is delivery day, I order every couple-three weeks). They are somewhere in Kansas. I got a recording saying "The office is closed today due to inclement weather. Please call back tomorrow." Unfortunately, 5 PM today is the cut-off........

That's never happened before in the 16 years I've been calling them. And I can't find my sign-in info (password, etc) to order online (lost them AGAIN, lol).

Argh.

6. Central Ohio, 7:27 pm on December 11..it is 68 degrees
my doors are open, my furnace off

Just like last winter so far. Cold as crap in October and November, then warmed up BIG TIME December - February, then BLAMMO...March, and WORSE...the single week in April...we will not know the full damage from that particular week until NEXT spring.

But, this is how the amazing 70 degree day is winding down.

13. We're at 35 south of Toledo.
We had freezing rain yesterday, schools closed. They had to close lanes on the new tall I-280 bridge today due to falling ice.

You've got that warm streak. I spoke with my friend in KY today and she said they were at 70 too.

9. Come to Denver, CatWoman... nice gentle snow, no wind, no ice
Edited on Tue Dec-11-07 07:57 PM by hlthe2b
or sleet--so no problem with electricity or downed trees at all.... The sun will be out again tomorrow and the landscape will be GORGEOUS! Bulk of the storm hit the mountains, so the skiing will be EXCELLENT!

Oh, and did I mention the slight delay in traffic yesterday, heading west on sixth Avenue to Golden, while a herd of approximately 60 elk crossed this major highway back up onto Lookout Mountain? When's the last time you saw that in HOTLANTA? LOL

12. Heee heee heee!
I've done my Atlanta time too. You can probably get "even" with me, in March when spring has sprung and we might well be buried!

14.  I miss the snow and seasons , however
I have been through ice storms when I lived in Chicago and having no power or heat is no joy ride . You have to worry your water pipes will burst , we had ice on the inside walls it was so damn cold during one we had in the mid 60's and another in the mid 70's . Now days there are cell phones , back then we had no phones , they went with the power lines .

Like I said , I like and miss seasons , here in sunny southern calif can get quite boring .
