I don't think Drudge likes Huckabee
The Huckabee AIDS story is in his spotlight which is usually reserved for anti global warming articles or anti Democrat stories.

Hum, maybe they don't think he can win a national election?

1. Please don't link to Drudge here
Here's the direct link to the article on his site:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Mike Huckabee once advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, opposed increased federal funding in the search for a cure and said homosexuality could "pose a dangerous public health risk."

3. The point I am making is directly related to linking with Drudge
To create a discussion about why Drudge would attack the leading Republican candidate. Everyone on DU already knows about the story.

4. The point I'm making is that you don't need to post Sludge's site link
to create the discussion.

Everyone on DU already knows how to find his trashy site. And everytime Drudge gets a website hit he makes more $$.

6. He only makes more $ if we click on his advertisements
The DU rules say we can link to a Republican site as long as we give warning. People on DU link to republican sites all the time to show how nuts they are.

I might have considered taking down the link if you had put it in reasonable way but you posted like you were a DU moderator when in fact you have no business telling anyone what they should post or link to.

Maybe next time you will ask someone to do something in a considerate way rather than order people around.

11. Drudge also gets paid per impression
Edited on Sat Dec-08-07 10:54 PM by DesertRat
Which means that he has advertisers who pay him for the amount of click throughs to his site. I don't agree with sending him more traffic.

7. You make a good point. & I disagree with the side-quibble about not linking.

If everybody here knows how to find PUDGE's crapsite, what's the difference?

And, Quixote, you've got one of the all time great internet-handles/names.

That said, unfortunately I have a gripe: DemocratIC not "Democrat".

I'm so sorry. I hate it when people crap in *my* threads!1

8. Yeah, I was torn on what was the right grammar (Democrat or Democratic)
At first I had Democratic but thought it sounded like I was referring to the whole party and not individual Democrats. I am not great with grammar so it doesn't surprise me if I have it wrong. Thanks for letting me know in a polite way.

9. Huckleberry's Pissing In A Lot Of Punchbowls...
He's not a "mainstream"...he's a lone wolf in this game and he's pissing off the powers that be. Most the party has splintered between Rudy (the wingnuts), Mittens (the "fiscal conservatives"), McCain (military) and Thomposn (who???)...Huckleberry was not supposed to be more than a blip on the radar and then fall off after Iowa. His pandering to fill the religious right void is what's stirring the muck and making this race even more interesting.

As I had predicted, the GOOP is splintering further to the extremes as the primaries draw closer...the pandering is now at full-tilt and Huckleberry seems to be getting both his message across and upseting the status quo...another Ron Paul type counter-insurgency if you will. While Hucklberry really doesn't have the horses and resources to run the table here, he is putting himself into position to play power broker between who remains standing going into and beyond "Tsunami Tuesday".

Also, remember, Rudy's tanking right now...his supporters aren't happy campers.

10. Huckabee has zero chance of winning. So does Ron Paul, btw
Corporalists will win in every election. It's that simple.
