TV Host Oprah Winfrey personally oversaw the destruction of the CIA interrogation tapes. Sources close to Oprah are quoted..."Oprah reached out to her Friend ,Barack Obama, for advice on whether or not to destroy the tapes. However, Mr. Obama did not respond, stating only that he is present."
Hillary Clinton, when asked for a comment said, "Oprah's destruction of the tapes is a black eye for all daytime talk show hosts. Merv would never have done that." We were unable to reach Merv for comment.
