OMFG: Anyone else watching Russert interviewing the TODAY show folk?
Edited on Sat Dec-08-07 01:05 PM by PCIntern
"What's your favorite Christmas Carol?"

"What's your fondest Christmas memory?"

How cute. All these now-extraordinarily-rich assholes sitting around with their "thank God I live in America" trite diatribes, their 'sneaking around looking for presents before Christmas' stories, their reminiscences of Alvin and the Chipmunks and how he actually discovered that the Chipmunks were 'speeded up' and all the other neat little memories. All little smiles and giggles.

You actually had to watch it to be sufficiently repulsed.

Directly followed by a story about a charismatic, 18 year old killer...

That's MSNBC, that's Entertainment!!

That's 'America'.

1. Cut him some slack, it is the TODAY show folk ...
people hosting morning news shows are not usually known for their depth or insightfullness.

3. i beg to differ...
The TODAY folk at one time included Dave Garroway, Tom Brokaw, Barbara Wawa, Jane Pauley, Hugh Doesn (knew him personally - no dope, believe me), and others. They knew when to turn it off and on. This crowd is completely vacant.

4. It's not an issue, IMO opinion of 'paying attention'...
it's what was on in the background in my office. MSNBC sees fit to have his ersatz Dick Cavett-style (Ha!) show on to kill time. Just commenting...

7. There was no "interview" there...
It was just a bunch of friends sitting sround talking. They could have done it in one of their livingrooms, with no camera. In fact, I wish they HAD.

Bo-o-o-o-ring

9. I can't seem to get in the xmas mood this year for love nor money
It's even snowing and I can't seem to break out the craft box with the authentic German glitter I purchased this year. I'm not religious but I always could get some warm fuzzies from old family memories.

This year, all I want is for the calendar to roll into January so the Iowa Caucuses would be here. I so need this current nightmare to end.

12. I saw that too - Timmy did everything but go down on Ann Curry - (sorry)
THEN, I made the error of switching to the local ABC affiliate and there he was - Tweety on his "other" hand job show.

Laughing and spouting his love for Mitt who he thinks made the "speech of the election so far".

Good gravy...
